FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. IT IS WRITTEN IN THE BLOOD OF HEROS LIKE PFC. BRIAN BOTELLO.

Anything I could say has already been said here for this brave soldier. GOD BLESS him and may the ALMIGHTY give comfort to his family that his sacrifice was not in vain.

To his loving family, I say THANK YOU for giving this country such a fine brave HERO. Share the times you had with Brian. They are priceless.

Brian, you now stand tall in GODS HALL OF HEROS. Thank you, brave soldier. Thank you.

I had the honor of standing in the flagline both on Tuesday and Wednesday for SPC Botello. It was obvious that Brian made a very large impact in the town of Alta. God bless him, his family, and his friends in this time of sorrow -- he truly is a hero.

I have some photos of the mission at http://picasaweb.google.com/cradloff/070509PGRMissionInAlta -- the first eight or ten are of Tuesday, the rest are of Wednesday.

Straight to heaven....
"There is no greater love", say the Lord, "than to lay down your life for a friend".
Thank you and God Bless you, Pfc Botello, for being willing to do just that.

It was an honor to stand with such great people in honor of a great American, rest in peace Pfc. Botello.

Running down I-90 in the early morning, all lost in our own thoughts, I notice 2 people standing on an overpass, my immediate concern was they were up to no good as they appeared to be struggling with something as we hurtled forward....it soon came clear as 2 American Flags were unfurled as we thundered on...thank you to whom ever you are...it took a few miles before I could see clearly again.....

Phase One of the Arkansas portion of this mission is complete.

We had 10 motorcycles, 2 cages, 18 PGR members in all, meet the plane in Fayetteville and provide escort to the funeral home. Thanks to Fayetteville PD for motorcycle escort. I asked LEO which way we were going to go since there were several options and they said, "Straight through the middle of town. This man deserves our respect."

Just wanted to say thank you to the 100 or so people, that allowed us to stand with them yesterday afternoon, and pay our respects to a young American SPC Brian Botello. For those of you we didn't meet, the wife and I are PGR Members from East Texas on a motorcycle trip in this area. When we saw that we were gong to be within a couple of hours of this mission, we decieded to try and make it, and were proud to be there to honor this young man. We were impressed by the number of bikes for a weekday afternoon that turned out for this mission. Would like to thank your state captain Charlie(Bear) Neill, who graciously welcomed us into your ranks as fellow PGR Members, as well as others that made us feel at home. Thanks to Ken Delano and the other guys we rode in with from Jackson, MN., appreciate their hospitality.

I'd like to thank the Arkansas Folks, and especially the officer who made the statement that is bolded above.  Also, was impressed by the turnout in small town Alta.  Was honored to have the opportunity to stand by with such a diverse crowd (states wise) and was really impressed by all the red hats from other states that stood the flag line for their Iowa brethren.  Bottom line... good Job Gary...

First and always foremost. My sincere condolences to the friends and family of Pfc. Brian A. Botello

What can I say but WOW!!! Patriotism is alive and well. For a small town rural Iowa, Alta showed it has a very big heart.

I would like to thank all of the Brothers and Sisters from beyond our borders. I hate that word in the PGR there is no borders yet there is, so figure that out. Anyway thank you very much to our friends in MN, SD, NE and we even had some from TX.

My fellow Iowa Brothers and Sisters thank you for all you do.

I would also like to thank the Arkansas Brothers & Sisters for their part in this mission.
