Last night when I went to the visitation for Dustin I was talking with Mr. Donica and he said that he had not heard of us before but that his wife had. While visiting with Mrs. Donica I asked where she had heard about the PGR. She said about a month ago she was driving past the church and saw all our riders lined up holding flags. She stopped and asked what was going on. One of our members explained we were at the church for Cpt. Fraser’s services and that we were the Patriot Guard Riders. She looked at me and said; “I didn’t think we’d be back at the church a month later for my sons services”.
I replayed that conversion in my head many times today. We are all so sorry to be back at that church today but thankful the Donica family wanted us there to honor Dustin and his family. She wanted me to tell you all thank you for coming to honor her son.
The General also sends his thanks to you all for being there. Our prayers are with the Donica family and that His grace and light help them through this tragic time.
Thank you to the 241 bikes and 12 cages that came to honor Dustin. You folks amaze me with your dedication to our fallen heroes. Saturday we had a record attendance for the Given service, today we broke that record, on a Monday no less. You stood tall and silent for Dustin in the proud fashion of the PGR. Thanks to all the PGR members who made the long drives to this mission from San Antonio, Austin, Beaumont and other areas of the state. We had PGR members from North Dakota and Oregon with us today! Thank you.
A special thanks to Breeze for all the work he put into this mission, he did all the work and I appreciated him for stepping up to the plate to do all he did. Larry said he was on a mission from God for this service and I think we all joined in on that mission today.

| As I sit here trying to collect my thoughts and explain to my children where I have been all day, and why it is so important, I am still awe struck by the rider's of S E Texas. It is such an honor to ride with such a diverse group of people who all have one goal and purpose. Egos and colors are checked at the door and every one stands united in support of our fallen hero and their family.
Johnny, Breeze, Boomer, Kelly (Hollywood), Rick, KP, and all other RC's great job under the toughest of circumstances. Thank you for your leadership and service.
May we all ride safe and hopefully our next meeting will be for a welcome home ride. |

To my 241 friends, their passengers, and all of the dedicated members of the SE Texas Patriot Guard team;
Ever since the realization hit me that yet another HERO had given his life in the service of our community and our country, and that for the second time in one month – a family from the same congregation had to endure the pain of losing another son – I was struck with such a deep sense of the wrongness of the act of Dustin’s loss: a single family should not lose the light of their life that a child is to them. And here were two, from the same church, in my recently adopted community.
I felt within me; the need to somehow try to mitigate the pain, the sense of loss, the wrenching hole in their lives that we can only begin to imagine that a parent feels as they begin to prepare to lay a son to rest. And I could only think of how yet another family, barely a month earlier, had walked in that same path - and the reopening of their pain as well.
I felt the nudge that can only have come from His hands. Another of us experienced the unseen hand of His angels, working to make this day somehow, just a little bit better for a family and their community.
And today, as 241 motorcycles and 12 vehicles bearing friends that I have known, only just met, or have yet to meet; came together from all around the state and our country to show a family that we ALL felt that same sense of respect, and honor, for this family and their community’s loss. A loss to all of us, each time that we hear the sound of 21 guns firing, or the bugle blow Taps.
Today, I saw a team. ALL of you. Working together as one for the good of a family in their time of greatest fragility. That is a sight that can only truly be seen from within ourselves, or from His heaven.
Each and every one of you is beautiful, and I’m proud to ride with and alongside all of you. Thank you for your time, your travels, and more importantly – your tribute of respect to the Donica family.

May God bless and comfort the family of Spc. Donica. Thank you for his service and his sacrifice.
Southeast Texas/Houston PGR, you folks are in-freakin'-credible. The entire state needs to take a look at your example of dedication and hard work. As busy as you have been, you still stand tall and make us proud to be a part of PGR. Thanks from all of us.

| As a first time rider, a new member of the Patriot Guard, and a member of the church I was truly grateful for the privilege and honor to be able to share in what this group does and stands for. I also spoke with other members of the church and a couple of Dustin's former teachers. They too were very impressed and much appreciative of the respect shown to the family. And grateful for what is done to honor the soldiers and their families.
Thank you to all of you.

To the Donica family - Thank you for allowing us to honor Dustin. He made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom and for that he will be missed. To the PGR riders and support vehicles - I would like to thank each & every one for taking the time to honor this hero in the way you did. I had been planning on making this mission, but right before I got ready to leave the office we ran into a major problem that had to be addressed right then and it did not look like it was going to get resolved quickly. It was looking like I was going to have to miss this mission. After making some calls and working through the issues, it looked like it was back on for me to attend. But I just knew I was going to have to field a bunch of calls via cell phone/email in order to attend - so be it, I wanted to be there. Funny thing is I did not receive a single call or email during the mission - guess someone was looking out for me and wanted me to be there also :-} |

| When the Houston Guard called for help, I knew I had to go. As we left Austin with a January chill in the air, I thought of the previous missions and how each had turned out as a different and unique experience. When we arrived at the staging area however, I was simply awestruck! (I spent my first 46 years living in the city before moving to Austin 14 years ago.) Seeing so many dedicated PGR members from all over the state made me so very proud to be a part of our great Orginization all over again. And I'm not sure about any of you about this, but I sense most everyone who rode, shared my thoughts as we proceeded from the Church to the cemetery in honor of this True American Hero. As I viewed all the people lining the route saluting, holding flags and hands over hearts in Justin's honor, I was having trouble navigating with the tears streaming down my face!
And I sure don't remember if it was cold coming back last night. Because of all of you and our fellow Americans who stood to honor this fallen soldier, I could have ridden in my birthday suit and I wouldn't have noticed! Thank you Johnny D and all the Houston Group for your unselfish efforts as well as all of you fellow PGR members who helped complete this mission!
