Standing by in Bastrop, TX if schedule permits. This will only be a little over 100 miles for me and will be my first, if I can make it. Any suggestions, hints, or rules for riding would be appreciated.

North Carolina, you folks start the ball rolling on the 18th, and we'll "git 'er done" in Texas on the 23rd.

I don't know if we've had the need for interstate cooperation like this too many times before, but with North Carolinians on one end, and Texans on the other, the Fry family and the U.S. Marine Corps is going to know how PGR feels about them very soon.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gunnery Sgt. Fry's mother and father yesterday, along with several other family members.  I learned from his brother that he had purchased a new bike several months before deployment.  So, not only are we honoring a fallen American hero, but a fellow rider as well.

God bless Gunnery Sgt. John D. Fry and the Fry family.  God bless North Carolina.  And God bless Texas!

Everyone ride safe,

So far I may be able to make it, if I don't get sent to Corpus for work.

Tad, I guess we can probably have a rendezvous point up in Round Rock or P-ville somewhere....

I'll be going out early this week to find a good rally point for South/Central members. I'm kinda waiting to see what the turnout might be so I can find a size-appropriate spot but with the amount of time we have to get this set up and the turnout in Smithville.............I'm thinking we're gonna need a HUGE place. I'll get back to everyone via the forum and the South/Central email list as soon as I find something.

Gunny Fry was a EOD Brother, and though I didn't know him personaly, I still feel the connection with him and all other vets. If the escort from RDU to Jacksonville is a go, I'll be there. Someone needs to ensure we get NC input into this message title so we can get things working. I got the e-mail from jwait earlier today. Standing by here in Eastern NC.
