He is a True Hero, he will not be Forgotten, his legacy will live on in me as well as the rest of the PGR that stood beside me to Honor your Son. Thank you for inviting us, to be with you at this time was the only place I wanted to be today.
Richard, a job well done, you will make an excellent RC!
This is my last mission in PA as a resident. For my PGR Brothers and Sisters, I am very proud to stand beside each of you, I have nothing but the utmost respect for each and everyone of you which is a reflection of the State Leadership of PA. I salute you all!
May you rest in peace SPC McGinnis, your mission is now complete.

SPC Ross A. McGinnis - Thank You. Mr. and Mrs. McGinnis and family - thank you for inviting the Patriot Guard Riders today for your son's memorial, it was my honor to stand.
The Ride Report will be posted by Rich, but I have to say a couple of things as I was so inspired today AND Rich excellent job, thank you for your committment to excellence - Mission Accomplished.
PGR members - Once again I am humbled, your turnout today was simiply inspiring. Thank You. When we went downstairs after the Memorial to pay our respects to the family everyone from the church service was downstairs paying their repects and gettting some food. Everyone, no I mean everyone who saw my wife and I, Rich - Blackthorn, Jules and Honey Buns said thank you. SPC McGinnis' parents were very greatful for your participation today. As the Full Bird special forces COL said outside at a post ride briefing - you make a difference.
Other RC's and Waitaminute, thanks, you are a great team of people to work with I am honored to be a part of this organization and in having been asked to be Assistant State Captain., however, it is all of us that make this happen and today we did. LabLvr, you may be moving but you will never be away, you will always be a PA PGR Member, thank you for all you have done for the PGR and in particular for the PA leadership, you've saved the computer challenged amoung us too many times to count.
SGT Prince, CAO has told me she will let me us know when SPC Ross A. McGinnis will be taken to Arlington, when she does we will post this as a second Mission for this hero.

| To the family & friends of Spc. Ross A. McGinnis ... Thank you again for inviting us to show our respect for the amazing deed and sacrifice your son made in our service. It was a high honor to be there with you. God bless you and be with you.
To my PGR brothers & sisters ... I would like to honor requests from a few members of the community who asked me to pass along thanks to everyone who attended to honor this hero. Such a small sacrifice we offer in comparison to the sacrifices on our behalf ... but it does make a difference. You were awesome today, as were the captains who led the mission.
Thank you! Joe & Mary Ann Zinobile & Tim Laux |

The day is ending, but my feelings about what I experienced today will never go away. First to Rich, lauds to all your work to keep all of us safe on this mission. To my fellow PGR members, words are difficult to express when I see the dedications of each of you as we converge from all points of the compass for a specific purpose. To the parents and family members of our young hero, thank you for permitting me to be a part of your life today. And to Pfc. Ross A McGinnis, you are a hero, what you did in a moment of crisis shall never be forgotten. You will be standing beside each PGR member from thiis day forward. May you have a place of honor at the table of the Lord.

To the family of Spc McGinnis: Our heart feels for you and your loss, as we recently (24 June 06) lost a fine member of our family in the war in Afganistan. As family members, we were duely impressed by the job the Patriot Riders did, and were especially appreciative that we were treated to a "wall of flags"when we arrived, then again when we left the ceremonies inside the school. The presence of the guard was a blessing in the middle of the worst week of our life. Nothing will bring our lost soldiers back, but the respect of the American citizens makes our loss less bitter.
Your son was indeed a hero. It was truly our honor to attend your beautiful service, and to be able to pay tribute to your son. This was our first mission as a PGR member, and will never forgotten. It has been our privledge to attend.
Thank you,
Kim and Jenny Lance (USAF Retired) Bradford, PA |

| Ride Report: SPC Ross McGinnis, 19 Knox, Pa 12/17/06
On the 17th December 2006 a cloudy, cool day; 101 motorcycles and 30 cages totaling 173 Patriots came to Knox, Pa to show their respect to an American hero SPC Ross McGinnis, his family and the community.
A special Thank You goes out to Thomas and Romayne McGinnis for allowing the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service of their son.
I would also like to thank Sheriff Bill Peck for all the support and for escorting the bikes from the staging area to the church, also David McEntire funeral director for all the help during preparation for this mission. To the members of the Lutheran Church thank you for all the help. To Pete Soergel thank you coming, the bagpipes were a special touch.
I appreciated all the help that the RC's provided (Barry, David, Frank, Joe, Richard, Rob) Don for allowing me the opportunity. Special thanks to Bud for all the support on my first mission. I could not have done it without you. Dave (shipahoy) for your help with the cages. Jim for the portable facility, luckily it was not needed. A personal thank you to Bill Beck for a fine sermon at the end of the mission.
A very big thank you to all the PGR members for making this an outstanding mission, that I will always remember. Without your support there would be no PGR. We are men and women from all walks of life, but with a deep desire to show our respect to our soldiers. Without them there would be no "Land of The Free".
The site of all those American flags held upright and flowing in the breeze was something to behold. I am proud to be a member of such a group that calls themselves the Patriot Guard Riders. As much as we all do not wish to have to attend another service, when the call goes out I know the Patriot Guard Riders will be there.
During this holiday season please take a moment and say a prayer for the McGinnis family to help them get through these trying times.
It was my honor to be the Ride Captain for this mission and again thank you all for making this an outstanding mission.

It was one of my greatest honors of my entire life to play the bagpipes for Spc Ross McGinnis. To the family and friend of Ross, I truely hope that I have somehow helped you to heal. I am very proud to to a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Hopefully I never need to play those pipes in a situation like this again.
But if I do, it is indeed an honor to stand with so many true Americans honoring a true hero in some small way.
Thank you for including me in this monumential day

All:
This Mission is starting to take shape. Thanks for the incredible help and professionalism of the VA PGR assigned to Arlington Missions.
We have been asked to escort Ross and his family from PA to Arlington, weather permitting we will do so. Anyone wanting to join up is welcome, we may be restricted to number of motorcycles and cars but so far so good. We have one member who has already stepped up and volunteered to follow with a three bike enclosed trailer. We will also probably have another open trailer following.
Please continue to watch this thread over the next seven weeks for further and continuous updates from PA and VA.
