Looks as we need some help here in the San Antiono area. I also understand we have other plans for the day. BUT I see that this is what we do the MISSION. Please do take this the wrong way but Mission should come first. If I can help in anyway please let me know. 210-885-7282

I just got off the phone with MasterChief. No one has had time to recon the area. I will try to do that this afternoon and post tonight. Unless yo hear otherwise, we will just stage at the church. Looks like the Austin group will try to be there about 1045. I will be there (or a nearby staging area) by 1015.
While I've done a mission or three, I've not tried to pull one together and this is very short notice for me. We are going to keep it simple and respectful. Thanks for your understanding.

I received notice from Houston that they will be bringing flags!
If anyone from the Austin area is caging it, please let me know. We'll need a vehicle to bring the flags back to the Austin area so DoubleD can pick them up early next week for transport to the Amarillo area for a Confirmed Mission up there. The flags are on 10' poles and will fit in an SUV but they ride better/safer in a pickup.
Contact me at pgrbexarwolf@gmail.com if you'll be caging it from Austin in a vehicle capable of transporting the flags. I'll arrange for storage until DoubleD can retrieve them.
Thank you!

BigShell has done recon at the church and spoke to the funeral director and they've decided it would be best and safest for everyone to stage at the church. There will be no escort from the funeral home to the church, only the escort from the church to Ft Sam National Cemetery.
Also, there will be parking attendants at the church to help us get in and out. I'll be posting a final San Antonio itinerary as soon as BigShell gets it written down and sent to me.

Prelimenary Itinerary:
I'll get the details to Bexarwolf so he can get out a final and official itinerary but here is the part you need to make your plans.
Services - Date: 11/11/06 @ Time: 1130
Eagle's Nest Christian Fellowship 14015 San Pedro Ave San Antonio TX 78232
There will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church.
We will stage at the church. I will be there NLT 1015. The church will be ready to start receiving family and guests at 1030 with services scheduled to start at 1130. Following the service there will be a procession to Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery , Shelter #4, for services at 1330 (about 10 miles).
If coming in from the north on 281, exit Bitters. Stay on access road past Bjorns (also there is a caution sign that says "Church 40 mph"). Take first right (about 200 yards) into the church parking lot. They will have folks wearing orange directing traffic. They know we are coming and will direct us to where they want us.
If coming from the south on 281, go past Bitters and exit Oak Shadows / Winding Way. Stay left on access road to the turn around. Follow southbound access road past Bjorns as above.
There is fuel in the area, but I don't know if there is any between these exits and the church. Best to come into town with enough fuel to get the job done.
As usual, be ready to be flexible (SEMPER GUMBY).

You may certainly meet there if you wish, but it is recommended that everyone meet at the church. I met with the funeral home and church representatives and for various reasons, we all agreed that staging at the church would work best for everyone. Look back a few post for some details. The final itinerary will be posted as soon as possible but will mostly just restate that info.
See you tomorrow.

| Smooth X, Bigshell's post just three above yours states we are staging at the church, not at Walmart. If the church is starting to receive family/friends at 10:30, you need to be at the church before then so we can have the flag line in place. |
