THE YOUNG DEAD SOLDIERS DO NOT SPEAK Nevertheless they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say, We were young. We have died. Remember us. They say, We have done what we could but until it is finished it is not done. They say, We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say, Our deaths are not ours: they are yours: they will mean what you make them. They say, Whether our lives and our deaths were for peace and a new hope or for nothing we cannot say: it is you who must say this. They say, We leave you our deaths: give them their meaning: given them an end to the war and a true peace: give them a victory that ends the war and a peace afterwards: give them their meaning. We were young, they say. We have died. Remember us.

Mombowman and I are hoping to be a part of the run from Princeton to Aledo. We are new at this, but with the experience, and encouragement, of our 4 sons, we look forward to this mission. We will be on 4 wheels, not 2.
Our deepest sympathy to the Tharp family. And Thank You Jerry, for what you have given to attain the freedom we all enjoy.

If any of the McHenry county folks are planning on participating, and are interested in riding to O'hare as a group, let me know the when & where. At this point (it depends upon the time) I am not sure if I will go as far as Princeton & come back or go all the way to Aledo - with work committments, looks like it may be the shorter version. This mission really hits hard... my Dad was a SeaBee (reserves) until he retired at the age of 60. My Dad taught me to ride.
standing by in Woodstock... |

| Anyone desiring to ride the escort must get approvel from Wescoot and Mike Bowman. There is a limit number of riders that can be accomodated and safety is of the utmost concern. |
