It will certainly be a good turn out with the advanced notice. There are alot of riders that don't use the internet that rely upon others to pass the word. I will see you all there with a few from up here. Be safe. As always, if you are coming through Maryville, let me know.

I can only imagine how difficult the postponement of a funeral can be for the family.  My compassion is sent out to them.
However, I agree even though PGR was prepared and ready, another week WILL add more riders!  I will be ready for Sat.,08 July, 2006.

This will actually work better for me. I have company coming tonight, and I don't think they would appreciate me being gone in the morning when they get up.

Will continue to stand by in S.E. K.

If I can find a sitter for my son, I am going to make it out to the KC rendezvous point as I'm riding out from Olathe.  I would like to start actively participating in these events.  What all gear do I need to participate?

Rich, The only gear required is to bring respect.  Everything else is optional.  I'd suggest making sure you have something handy to drink, though we usually do have someone bring bottled water.  Bringing a flag is always a good idea.  The standard size is 3'x5'.  You might also consider sunscreen depending on the weather.  As far as PGR gear, nothing is expected or required.  If you wish to identify yourself as PGR, please visit the PGR store.  That is entirely a personal decision.

Sounds good to me.  As a former Marine myself, I have nothing but the utmost respect for these missions.  Unfortunately, riding a sport bike, I don't really have room to display a flag without coming up with some sort of custom mount.  Will there be flags available at the location for holding?

Also, thanks to everyone for the emails answering my questions.  I look forward to meeting all of you.

ALR Post 400 just had a donation of 100 10" flag poles from Stanion Electric.   The post is attaching the flags.  Hopefully they will be ready to handout for the St. Joseph mission.  A hundred 3' x 5' flags on 10' poles is impressive.

To the family of PFC Brian J. Bradbury,
My son was with your son during his last moments. He speaks very highly of Brian. They trained together and fought together. The 3-71st Cav will NEVER forget!! Brian's memory will always be thought with utmost respect and dignity.
I cannot attend this mission as I live in Colorado. Please know that I am thinking of you and pray for you everyday. You are in good hands with the PGR Riders.

BIG DOG, just thought I'd drop a note, I still am planning on running chase. With as many riders that are coming and with the riders being split into three groups, what is the location for chase cages? I assume a chase for each group, if that is the case I would request running behind the Post 400 riders & PbRobbins, is that possible?
With advanced notice, I am able to gather most of the necessary supplies for the mission as well as water and ice.

Thanks to all who will attend this ride.

I am a newly registered PGR but will be out of town the weekend of this ride.  It is very sad for me to not be able to make it.  3 days ago I flew home from Afghanistan on an Air Force C-5.  I had just been stationed at Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan and just a few days earlier, we were flying missions over the location Pfc Bradbury was operating in.

The men on the ground in Afghanistan deserve all the respect in the world.  70 degree slopes or greater surround all the valleys in the area that Pfc Bradbury was fighting in.  The Taliban and foreign insurgents are still agressively attacking our troops and not a day goes by that they are not fighting in a convoy or at one of our many Forward Operating Bases.  Progress is being made each day and their amazingly positive attitudes are the reasons why.

Thanks to Pfc Bradbury's family for making this country a safer place by your sacrifice.  It does not go unnoticed.

It was a priviledge to have fought with men such as Pfc Bradbury, I luckily got to pay my respects at Bagram before the ride home and was originally on the same flight with him but due to a plane change in Germany, we did not get to pay our respects to him and his family as he arrived back home on American soil at Dover AFB in Delaware.

God speed to him and may you rest at ease....you deserve it.
