To the hero, Brent Koch - rest peacefully knowing that you are the ultimate giver - unselfish, respectful, dignified.

To the family of Brent Koch - no words can fully make up your loss, but having seen personally so much good being done over in that area of the world, that is not shown to us, he was probably smiling.  He is a true American hero.

To all PGR members,

Members of the Minnesota PGR are working hard to plan this mission.  As you all know, we can't release a mission plan until the family has established a date and time for the funeral services.  When the specifics of the funeral are announced, we will publish the mission plan.  I know it is frustrating, but that's just the way it is.

I ask for your patients and understanding on this.

From talking to our sector Ride Captain and a couple of others, I have some idea of what goes into planning a mission.  All the co-ordination with the LEOs, funeral directors, the family, etc., and the last minute things that come up.  I don't think that most of us realize how much work and time you guys put in on this, but believe me, it is appreciated and you can't be thanked enough.  I know  we might have short notice,  but like the previous post says, no problem.  I'll be there.

There was a National Guard member at my daughter's softball game last week, and I just met 2 others at the local bike shop today. I thanked all 3 of them for their service to our country, as I've done is the past when I've come across other service personnel. Then I began wondering, how many people stop and thank our service men and women when they can hear us and feel our appreciation for what they do. It's just too sad that so many of them don't get the chance to before tragedy strikes. I hope Spc. Koch did.

If our schedule allows, my husband, "dhunter," and I will be honored to share our respect and appreciation for Spc. Koch, and his family.

God Bless you and your family Spc. Koch, and keep you all in his care.

Although the family has not released their itinerary for the funeral services for their son, for now assume this in your planning for this mission:

Date of Service:  Monday, June 26,2006
Location of staging area:  Redwood Falls, MN
Staging area opens at:  7:30AM
Pre ride briefing at: 8:10AM
Depart the staging area at 8:30AM

All of this is subject to change as conditions on the ground change.  I just wanted to get this out before the start of weekend.

When we get a confirmed, announced date and time for the services, I will post the complete mission plan with complete details.

As with all Minnesota PGR missions, any one is welcome to attend this mission from any state, no need to ask permissions etc.  All riders will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior to leaving the staging area in Redwood Falls.
