First of all let me express my deepest condolences to the Rovinski family as well as all other families that have sustained heartache from the efforts they put forward to defend our freedom. They will always be hero's who live in my heart and I may forget names but I'll never forget their sacrifices.
As general manager of the Holiday Inn Express in Galesburg, I want to tell you how proud this organization has made me to be an American. Your missions are priceless. I had the pleasure to meet several of you last week. Please know that if there is anything you need from us or that we can do for you..please call the hotel. We have a meeting room you are very welcome to use anytime you need to gather. It has been brought to our attention that there may be protesters cancelling Patriot's reservations at various hotels...my staff has been informed to the situation.
Thank you for all you stand for.

This hero will not be forgotten.

Please forward my condolences to the family, and if they have any photos and info on Gary that I can ad to his tribute page to please send them to me..   It is my mission to help people remember who this hero is.

You're also welcome to email me some of the PGR Mission photos to ad.

I wish all the riders a safe ride and a good mission.

I thank you all for supporting our fallen heroes and their families.

PS. Every now and then I find names that are not released through DoD because the hero died back in the states. If you know of someone that died or got killed in the states, that served in Iraq, Afghanistan etc., please let me know.

When I got back from Galesburg last week I posted a note saying I was so impressed with the way that town "turned itself out" for Caleb that I'd like to spend more time there. This is definitely not what I had in mind. If I could give a whole town a hug I would. The least I can do is ride back there to help honor another of its fine young sons.

Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of Gary Rovinski and the fine people of Galesburg and Roseville.

Respectfully,

John

Princeton to Monmouth Escort - I will be arranging things at Princeton for the second leg of the Rovinski escort.  I really would like to know who will be riding from Princeton IF the escort happens on Monday afternoon/evening. (As this is written I have no confirmation of the actual date.)  When I know how many riders we need to fill in the gaps of those riders who return to Bollingbrook I then need to know who is available to fill the gaps.  Please reply to this list or to me directly.

Just after I posted this message Chris Brocksmith sent me his list of riders who had responded to him for which part of the escort.  If you contacted him you need not respond to this message.  At present the rider count for Princeton is 11.  Any more out there?

Thanks,
Greg Bowman

Fly a flag for me. I just want the family to understand that we are a family. When one shipmate falls, we all know it.
He lived up to his Christian obligations to God and exemplified the core values of the Naval Service. Thank you in advance for honoring a shipmate. To heck with those hypocrite protesters who know not what respect means.
