Cory,

I saw a BUNCH of 3' X 5' flags at Wal-Mart. I'm sure just about any large retail store or hardware/home store would have one. In fact, if you find a store that doesn't have them tell them they should stock them!

Additional information: We will be staging at the SW parking lot of the church at 10:00 am, Friday, June 2nd. Address is 6th Ave North and Broadway. Bring your flags! Chances are high that we will have uninvited guests also.

Could someone post directions from I-94 to the staging area. I am not familiar with Fargo at all.
I would be on westbound I-94.

Be aware... there's a lot of construction on surface streets near downtown Fargo right now so don't get caught between a cage and a lamppost

From I-94:

Take the US-81 Business exit 351 to Downtown Fargo
Take S University Dr and follow US-81 Business route north - go 1 mile
Turn right (east) at 13th Ave S - go 0.2 miles
Turn left (north) at 10th St S (becomes 10th St N) - go 1.9 miles
Turn right (east) at NP Ave - go 0.3 miles
Turn left (north) at North Broadway - go 0.4 miles to 619 Broadway N

Due to the construction on main ave underpasses this what I would do.

I-94 to 25th st exit. Go north on 25th till you get to 7th ave north.(should be 7th stoplight) Turn right(going east) till you hit Broadway. Church is right thier on your left.

Statement from Gov. Hoeven regarding SPC Hermanson's Funeral.
============================================

NEWS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Statement of Gov. John Hoeven on the

Funeral FOR Spc. Michael Hermanson

Bismarck, n.d. – Gov. John Hoeven today issued the following statement regarding the funeral of SPC. Michael Hermanson on Friday:

“We deeply appreciate the service of SPC. Michael Hermanson and the sacrifice that he and his family made for our nation. His funeral is a time for us to come together, to remember and to honor him, and to share our condolences with the Hermanson family.

“We are a free society because Michael Hermanson and all of our veterans have fought to preserve those freedoms. While they include the right of free speech and demonstration, I do not believe that the funeral for a fallen hero is the right time or place for a demonstration such as the one planned by members of the Westboro Baptist Church.

“In this instance we have worked with the Fargo Police Department to ensure that any protesters will be confined to a staging area at a respectful distance from the funeral.

“To ensure proper respect is afforded at funerals in the future, I will propose in the next legislative session that the state of North Dakota pass legislation that requires a buffer zone between any protest and a funeral or memorial service.

“Again, on behalf of the citizens of North Dakota, First Lady Mikey and I wish to express our great appreciation and heartfelt sympathy to the Hermanson family.”

If anyone else is interested in the Fargo Mission on Friday, June 02, we are staging at the Big Chief Truck Stop at I-94 and US 59 south of Fergus Falls at 0900.    Please advise if you plan to meet there.  The staging in Fargo is at 1000, but the place is still in doubt.  I will advise on that.  Don't know if we'll have visitors.
Ted

(Note: We will be LEAVING Big Chief at 9:00)

any word on the final staging area??

also wondering if anyone/every one is planning on wearing red to show support for the troops, this was posted all over the internet as the silent majority showing support by wearing red on friday every week.

Slugger, glad you mentioned the wear red on Fridays, I've been doing that for quite a while now, often not just red but red-white-& blue. I can't remember how long ago that e-mail went around - at least sometime last fall, I think.

Ranger, thanks for the directions. Is the place you're planning on parking your bike and getting coffee at that same intersection? I wasn't clear on that, since it's a separate posting.

Slugger-
Last I heard staging was going to be at 10am in the SW parking lot of the church which is at 6th Ave N and Broadway. I do not know for sure what most people will be wearing but I know that at the missions here in Colorado black leather is the norm. Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Since I don't have a balck leather vest yet ( ride in a cage, but I think I will still get a vest soon) I used to wear patriotic shirts before I got my PGR shirt.

jpsavage from Bemidji, MN here. A few of us (unknown number) will be meeting at 6:15 am at Petes Place South on Hwy 71 just south of Bemidji. Riding to Detroit Lakes, MN were we will be meeting up with some more PGR members (again unknown as to how many) at 8:15 am. Should arrive in Fargo, ND around 10:00 am or so. From what info I have gathered finale staging area is SW parking lot of the church. Will be coming in on Hwy 10 and the church in just a few blocks north on Broadway so we shouldn't have trouble finding it.
