MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF STG. EAKES DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. MAY THE COMFORT OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR AS WELL AS THE PRECIOUS MEMORIES YOU HAVE HELP YOU THROUGH THE DAYS AND WEEKS TO COME. AS A VETERAN AS WELL AS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF THE APEX AREA IT IS WITH DEEP SADNESS THAT I WILL BE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE SERVICES FOR THIS TRUE AMERICIAN HERO. BUT REST ASSURED THAT HE IS APPRECIATED FOR HIS ULTIMATE SACRIFICE TO THIS GREAT NATION AND WE ALL ARE SAFER IN OUR HOMES BECAUSE OF BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN IN OUR ARMED FORCES AROUND THE WORLD. REST IN PEACE BRAVE WARRIOR AND MAY YOUR FAMILY SEE THE LOVE OF GOD DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

It is our honor to stand for SGT Eakes and his family.  They have given so much for this nation.  I am truly saddened by the loss of this young man who leave behind so much.  Please know that the American people appreciate the sacrifice SGT Eakes made.  We share their grief.  I pray that God will bless them with memories of Lance that will carry them through the most troubling times.  May they each find strength in God.

There is so ... so much I do not understand. 'Why' is THE question without answers.
I'm so sorry for your loss. The only good reality is that ... HEROES go directly to heaven.

I hope YOU know that when we go to heaven we will not be looking back. Because HEAVEN is the reward!!!!!
