I will be glad to honor this fallen hero. I should be able to attend both Sat and Sun. With being my first mission one question I have is would this be an appropiate place for my 9 year old daughter. Sun is her birthday and I would like to spend time with her and she does enjoy riding but I dont want to confuse her or upset her to much. I am just looking for differant opinions on this. Thanks in advance. I will follow this post closely.

As her father, it is totally up to you, but I am enclosing two pictures for you from LCpl Snyders mission.

This will be something that she will remember, maybe not in the way you might.  Consider this a lesson in life that will help her, as she gets older, to remember that good people do good things.  Together, we can do great things.

We have had many young PGR'ers, and it is amazing how much they really take in.

Your call, but I'd bring her.

See you Sunday

Central Maryland
Sunday, May 21

Muster at Rip's: 10:30 am.
Kickstands up: 11:00 am.

Bring $2.50 for the Bridge toll. Exact change really hastens things along.

Route: Hwy 50 to RT 404. Follow 404 all the way until it meets up with Hwy 13. South to HD of Seaford on the right.
Distance from Rip's to HD of Seaford: Approx. 73 miles.

If all goes well, this trip should take an hour and a half, including the Bridge toll stop.

Changes, if any, will be posted, or briefed Sunday

Richard, thats all I neede to hear as long as she wants to go she will be there. Just a little heads up for you guys coming from across the Bay Bridge that there is a custom car show in ocean city this weekend and it draws a big crowd so the bridge might have some back ups at it. May want to consider leaving a little earlier then planned. I cross that bridge every weekday and it dont take long to slow down. If you have a large group may want to use far right lane and as you pay toll you could pull forward and to the right so that you all stay together. Thanks for the advise also.

Also, for groups/riders coming from North and West - there is repaving going on on US 13 from Greenwood US13/16 to Seaford - I don't think there will be any work going on Sunday, but you will likely have to deal with some "scraped" asphalt.

We decided to go up on Saturday night, I called the Hampton Inn last night and they are booked. We're staying at the Holiday Inn Express, but they didn't have too many rooms left.

If the ones posted do not have any rooms available...you may need to check for a hotel/motel in Salisbury, MD., not too far away.
Take care,
Pam

If any of the Salisbury, Md area riders are interested in riding up together we could possibly meet at Shorebird stadium or across the hwy. at Winterplace Park on Sat and Sun about an hour before the Seaford meeting times and then leave 15-20 minutes later. Give us a chance to meet each other. What say you ? ? ? Click my user name to reply by e-mail.
