God instructs, through His word, that those who are able to defend and protect those who cannot must do so. A soldier not only protects those who can't but they also protect those of us who can. Blessed are those who willingly lay down their life to protect God's children. Cpl. Davis, I thank you for your devotion and service. You are a true Hero!

Update: Please note additions/changes listed below.
Attention riders
Heads Up, Patriot Guard
"Phedup" is Ride Captain for this Mission.
Sunday ~ January 20, 2008
Escort CPL Davis from KCI – Executive Beachcraft
(Anticipated Escort to I-435/Holmes)
1000 hrs ~ Stage @ Mariott Hotel, 775 Brasilia @ KCI
1030 hrs ~ Mission Briefing
1100 hrs ~ Kickstands Up….. (so to speak)
1230 hrs ~ Flag Line @ Mt. Moriah Freeman Funeral Home
10507 Holmes, KCMO (Riders my either go directly to
the Funeral Home or to the AirPort for escort- we are
needed at both places).
Note: These missions are not about motorcycles. They are to honor our fallen heroes and protect their families. Due to expected weather conditions, all Riders are expected to be in cages.
Note2: Due to the fluidity of information, the above times may change. Watch for updates.
Funeral Mission ~ Monday 1/21/08 1300 hrs
Mt. Moriah Freeman Funeral Home 10507 Holmes, KCMO
Mission Watch/Flag Line - 1230 hrs
Move to Cemetery (on premises) 1345 hrs
In the words of "Phedup"...couldn't be said better!
Order of the day is cold weather gear. Advise utilization of 4 wheel travel. Mode of transportation is not nearly as important as Standing the Flag Line
With this info:
Order of the day is cold weather gear. Advise utilization of 4 wheel travel. Mode of transportation is not nearly as important as Standing the Flag Line. Be advised while the highways are clear of crud, and the side streets are becoming more clear everyday... The parking lot of the staging area is snow and ice packed. The entrance and parking lot of Exec BeechCraft is snow and ice packed. The entrance to Mt. Moriah is about a 30% incline, if not more, and is snow and ice packed. So, all you macho "I got heated gear" guys, and the other "I got no sense" guys, leave your pride and your ride in the garage and pack your car full of PGR folks and come out to honor this fallen hero in a safe manner. If you ride, you do so at your own risk. I can not stress safety enough on this mission.

Once the final arrangements are made, I'm going to drive (my car) to where ever the visitation & funeral are held. I only plan to attend ONE of the missions. (Will drive back same day.) If anyone in the St Louis area would like to carpool with me, we can determine together which mission to attend. My car can comfortably seat 4 grown men. I live in Cuiba (off 44 and will take 70 to KC area.) If you're interested, you can either email or call me at 573-885-7228. I really want to honor this young man no matter what the weather. (PS. I'm the guy with the Bear on the back of the black Honda.)
