Another good son has heard the bugle call and marched off to war. With bright eyes, willing heart, and a curious mind he sought adventure. I believe that God calls us home when we have completed our work here. That said, and with what I know of the father and have read of the son, I am confident in stating that I know that God has welcomed Nathaniel home with a comforting hug and a 'well done, my good and faithful servant.' I say thank you Pfc Given for you faithful service and profound sacrifice.Thank you Given family for raising such a wonderful son, and for your sacrifice.
The notice was unfortunately too short for me to make the escort mission, but I have secured the time that will allow me to stand tall and silent on Saturday. I'll be the old biker with the big flag and the heavy heart.

I wish I could have been there for the initial escort, but I did not get the word in time. I am sure, however, that my fellow PGR members did Nathaniel and his family proud.

I will be there Saturday. (Now I have to make sure my boots have finished drying from yesterday...)

When Nathaniel enlisted in the military, he became a defender for us, but he'll always be your baby.
When he was called to war for his country, he became a warrior for us, but he'll always be your baby.
When he paid the ultimate price, the world was shown what being a hero mean, but he'll always be your baby.
I know because no matter what my son does, where he goes, which choices he makes, he'll always be my baby.

May God take your baby in His arms, welcome him home and allow him to rest in peace.

God bless and keep you.

Brother Scott, you and your entire family are in our prayers. We didn't know about this mission until it was too late to make it in time. One of our Brothers, Baloo, informed us and we are here when you need us. Whatever we can do.
May God bless Nathanial.

Just a couple of thing on the following post. Visitation is at 1:00 and the service is at 2:00 all at the Carnes Funeral Home. The address is 3300 not 3301 and for looking up on Mapquest and other programs use 3300 Gulf Freeway and NOT I-45. ALL PGR ARE REQUESTED TO ATTEND STAGING FOR VISITATION AND THE FOLLOWING SERVICE. There will be no seperate staging for the Funeral Service. Parking is going to be difficult if you come after the Staging & Original ride and want to ride in the escort to the cemetery. INTERMENT/BURIAL: ALL PGR riders are invited to attend the Interment service at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. It's a short ride up to Exit 19 on I-45.

To all PGR...

I am SFC Robert Gerace.  Not only am I "brothers" with the Scott Given (Nathans father) but was also one of Nathan's recruiters.  This is a hard time for all the family and I want to extend my heartfelt thank you and blessings to each and every one of you.  As Shriners we devote a lot of time to help our children but after experiencing the hearts of the PGR I now know how I can give back to my brothers and sisters in arms.  Thank you again and I hope to personally thank you again tomorrow.
