I too am a Gold Star father and I know your pain. Your son will not be forgotten and his sacrifice will always be remembered, especially by this loyal group of Americans called the Patriot Guard. They stood at my son's funeral and we will be there for you. Know many prayers are being lifted up for you and your family.

Riding in memory of SSG Blake M. Harris KIA 3-15-07, and SSG John Beale KIA 6-04-09

"It is, in a way, an odd thing to honor those who died in defense of our country, in defense of us, in wars far away. The imagination plays a trick. We see these soldiers in our mind as old and wise. We see them as something like the Founding Fathers, grave and gray haired. But most of them were boys when they died, and they gave up two lives--the one they were living and the one they would have lived. When they died, they gave up their chance to be husbands and fathers and grandfathers. They gave up their chance to be revered old men. They gave up everything for our country, for us. And all we can do is remember."

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of LCpl Charles Seth Sharp. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Charles.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

I haven't seen Seth since high school, as I'm a few years older. He always had a smile on his face; always a nice guy. It came as a shock to me that he was KIA, as I did not know he was a Marine. It was an honor to know Seth, and my family and I would like to extend our condolences to his family and thank them and Seth for their sacrifice. May you rest in peace Seth - you will be missed. You are a true hero.

128 Patriot Guard members were on hand today to await the arrival of LCpl Seth Sharp to a loving and heartbroken family and community. I was humbled to be a part of the procession as we escorted LCpl Sharp to the Northpointe Church for visitation and on Saturday, his funeral. I only regret that I will not be able to be there for Seth on Saturday. During the escort I made 235 photos of the community that turned out so strong for their HERO.  Those photos are at http://andrews3.gotfamiliesonline.com for anyone who wishes to see the events of the day. If anyone wants to save some of the photos, just right click on them and save to your own computer.

May God grant the Sharp extended family a peace that passeth understanding during these trying times.
