My name is Melody Coates. Matthew W. Wilson was my nephew. Our family is very grateful you chose to except the invitation to be at Matt's funeral. I would just like to say a real heartfelt thank you. I can tell you what an amazing man Matt was and tell you what a great father he was and husband. But I think his service to this country speaks to the type of man he was. Our family feels a little more peaceful knowing that PGR will be there. Thank you for taking the time to help us honor Matt, his life and service to this country. I hope we (our family) has a chance to shake your hand at the funeral and show our gratitude for what you are doing. Thank you so very much for helping us lay Matt in his final resting spot. My prayers go out to the family and friends of PFC Matthew W Wilson. Thank you sir for your services to this country. Rest in peace your job is done.

I thought I saw your face today,
in the sparkle of the morning sun.
And then I heard the angel say,
"Their work on earth is done."

I thought I heard your voice today,
then laugh your hearty laugh.
And then I heard the angel say,
"There's peace dear one at last."

I thought that you had left me,
for the stars so far above.
And then I heard the angel say,
"They left you with their love."

I thought that I would miss you so,
and never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say,
"They're with you every day."
"The sun, the wind, the moon, the stars,
will forever be around,
reminding you of the love you shared,
and the peace they've finally found

From Buffalo NY - I would like to thank this soldiers family for his service and respectfully offer condolences for their loss.

My son is a member of the CCG and will most likely be part of the honor guard that day, be assured they will provide the utmost in honor and respect as is due this fallen brother.

My prayers to you all.

Paul

A note to the ride captain - be advised - I found that the Westboro crew is planning to be in attendance that day - I was relatively sure you would already know but I came across this info while checking on a rumor of their possible attendance at a local mission.

Moderation is the curse of the uninspired.....

Never argue with a moron, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Here's to cheating, stealing, fighting and drinking.
If you cheat, may it be a death;
if you steal, may it be a heart;
if you fight, may it be for your Brother;
and if you drink, may it be with me.

I am not a Marine, but I believe we should all live by their motto - Semper Fidelis...

"It means Always Faithful. Faithful to our nation, to each other, to the cause we serve".

August 18, 2009 the Delaware PGR had the honor to escort Pfc. Matthew W. Wilson, 19, to his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery. The DE state police furnished us with two motor units for safe passage through Dover to Marydel, the state line. From there 6 riders from DE, MD and PA led the hearse with the widow and an Army escort vehicle to Kent Island, MD where we were met by Dave Sloan and other riders for a handoff to Arlington. There is great sadness in the loss of our so very, very young and brave men. We sincerely hope that their sacrifices are not in vain. We convey our heartfelt condolences to the wife and the rest of Pfc. Wilson’s family. May this warrior rest in peace, he will not be forgotten.

Respectfully Submitted, John "CODman" Davis...RC...Central DE
