cgvet and rev jones, I've emailed you already with this but thought I'd share it with others from up this way.  How about meeting at the Star Bucks on the feeder road just off I-45 south of 2920 (I-45 and Louetta) (yes I can't spell)?  I'm guessing between 6 and 615am?  Too early or too late?  I'd rather be early south bound as north freeway traffic is bad from about 630 on.  phone number on the email.   This will be my first mission.

Velasco St that Walmart is on is State hiway 288 B. Brazosport Hog did a ride to the funeral home today. I woud guess about 30 or 40 bikes, it turned out real nice. Family and friends of the family were very appreciative and voiced their appreciation. The small town of Danbury has outdid itself and has planted flags on the route the hearse will take into town and to the cemetary. It makes me very proud to be an American and be able to show my respect and appreciation of service and loss to this young man and his family. God Bless you again Pfc. Tribble.

NO ONE in our Society is deserving of more respect than a front line combat Serviceman. My Nephews knew you as a boy and tho we have never met, I have come to know you as a Serviceman. Your Brothers who have gone before are on the "Point" and waiting for you to follow, your work here is done.
I shall be with you when you are brought home to rest and I shall cry.
God Bless a family who has given so much and may peace find each of you soon.

I'll be headed to Angleton in the morning to honor Pfc. Tribble and to show appreciation to him and his family for his brave service.  "He was where he wanted to be" his folks said, and that says a great deal about the young man and soldier.  Thank you Brett.  Thank you for being a patriot, thank you for stepping up to the plate, and thank you for your brave service.

Staging for Houston PGR will be in Sugar Land. Wal-Mart parking lot on the SE corner of Hwy 6 and Alt 90 at 7:00 am. We'll take 6 down to 288, to 288 biz, to the PGR staging area at the Wal-Mart in Angleton. It will take probably just a tad over an hour due to morning traffic.

See you in the AM.

Mario,

I am riding down alone from Sugar Land and taking a back road at Arcola.  It is shorter and more pleasant than 6.  I am in First Colony on the opposite side of 59 than your meeting spot but if you are interested in a different route let me know(sugarharley at earthlink dot net).   I could meet the group on hwy 6.  Either route works.   Mike

Ksrocky,

Be careful, Man.  I ride all over the U.S. every year and put on a lot of miles every year but, night riding is something I avoid as much as possible, particularly on country roads.  Animals, truck tires, and other hazards will take you down and they are hard to see in time to take evasive action.  Your desire to make the long ride is commendable but the early service will cause you to ride several hours in complete darkness so please reconsider, and if you ride, be super careful and hold your speed down.

Now to your question:  You have two main choices once you get to the junction of U.S. 59 and hwy. 6 in Sugar Land.  There are other options but here are the best two for you.  1st.:  Take hwy 6 to the east (left off U.S. 59 when coming south on 59) and stay on it until you get to Texas 521 at Arcola(something like 12-15 miles).  Take the exit for 521 off 6 and turn right on 521.  Stay on it for about 25 miles and it will take you right into Angleton and you'll see the Wal-Mart on your right once there.  It turns into 288B as you pass under 288.  You'll go under 288 a couple of miles after you pass the small community of Bonney and just keep on that road.  The 2nd option is to stay on hwy 6 all the way to 288 and turn right(south) toward Angleton and then take the exit for 288B toward Angleton.  Turn left off 288 and that will take you right into Angleton and to the Wal-Mart.

Another option, Ksrocky, is to get on 288 in Houston and head for Angleton, avoiding Sugar Land.  Ride safe.

Thank you Pfc. Brett Tribble for all that you gave. Thank you to the Family of Pfc Tribble for allowing the PGR show the respect and honor that Brett desires. Thank you the the Town of Danbury for the respect and honor that each one of you gave to Brett as he rode by. I know that Brett's family was having a hard time saying good bye. You live in a town that is special. I will never forget Brett, his family, or Danbury. I am having a difficult time putting into words how this mission made me feel. The Patriotism was so amazing from everyone - young, old, military, civilian, LEO, FD. What a site to ride under the Fire Trucks holding up a US and Texas flag. This was an incredible mission. Pfc Tribble is now in Gods's kingdom. He came from good stock in a good town. We will continue to celebrate his life and deeds.

Thank You PGR members that were able to attend and show your respect. I was unable to attend but just wanted to say it looks as if you all supported the family well. Good Job "Fallen Angel" We salute you.

“Rest your head now, weary soldier. Cast your weapons to the ground. Close your eyes and feel the peace. The light of Jesus fold around. Heed not our earthly battle cries. There is no post for you to stand. So rest now as he carries you within His loving hand. Do not look back upon us. Disregard our selfish tears. Walk in the sunlight of the spirit free of war or pain and fear. Your duty here is done now as ours will someday be, so go with Him now to places only heroes ever see.”

This was one of the most touching Missions I have been on. Riding down the streets with over 500 flags flying for Pfc, Tribble showed me how much Americans Do care, The community in and surrounding Danbury are Outstanding People. Thier Patriotism can only be found in America, by True Americans.

Fallen Angel, you did a fantastic job, I would be proud to ride behind you anytime, with so many PGR members there I know it was a big job and you did it well. Even with the heat and mosquitos it came together with no problems. To everyone that helped out, Thank You. This is a team effort and we have the best team there is.

Many riders put some time in getting there and we know it was well worth it. Nothing can compare to the feeling of seeing and meeting all of those willing to take the time to do something this important. To those who brought ice and water, many many thanks, it means alot to us all. Once again I met new and many old friends and I am blessed to know you all.

Last count I took was 56 bikes and I am not sure how many cages, but the Respect shown for Pfc. Tribble and his family was once again second to none. You people are just great. The LEO, Military Officers, Honor Guard and Fire Dept. Thank You!

Mr. and Mrs Tribble and his siblings, you are not alone, not with all the people who care and showed it yesterday. I cannot express my feelings on your loss but it was not in vain.

God Bless you one and all. God Bless America and God Bless our Soldiers for what you have chosen to do.

Great job FallenAngel! Your first mission as Ride Captain went pretty smooth! Mustanger7up, good job getting the liability waivers signed and co-captain! Thank you DaveFash for sharing all the great pictures. To the individuals that provided the water, what lifesavers, greatly appreciate it.

Jerry and I finally made it home about 6:30 last night, sunburned and tired, but happy that we could show our support for another fine individual that sacrificed his all for our great country! Spc Tribble, thank you and we salute you!

And add a zero to the # of flags I reported, there were 5000 or more lining the streets, not counting those held in hands and hanging from Fire trucks. Thanks again everyone!

Because of the fact that I knew PFC Tribble and his mother Tracy I was asked by Fallen Angle to coordinate with the family on this mission. It was such an honor for me to be used in this manner. Had it not been for several new and old friends of mine from Brazoria Couty I would have been lost because I now live in Madison County. I would at this time like to thank Howard Goe of GOE Harley Davidson, Tracy Read - Brazosport HOG, Bobby Britton - PGR - Southern Proud, Lee Bryant - Brazosport HOG, and Gunner - Los Malos for their assistance.

I would like to say a special thanks to the Brazoria County Sherriff and Captain Rick Foreman. These two men told me. "You tell us what you want and what you need and it will happen". The people from Danbury should be commended for their support of the Tribble family in their time of need. The route was lined with more flags and people than you could imagine. The people showed their pride in their country and this young man that gave his all to do what he knew to be his mission in life to protect this country and them.

To the family of PFC Brett Tribble I would like to say. Thank you for the honor you have shown us all and GOD BLESS.

Again thinks to Fallen Angle for asking me to be involved in this ride. I have made a great friend in you.

Mission Ride Report for Spc. Brett L. Tribble

June 12, 2006

We actually had two runs for this young man. On June 11, 2006, The Local HOG chapter had a run during the visitation, because several of them would not be able to make the service due to work conflicts. I was honored that I was asked to participate in the run. I drove my cage so that my family could meet the people that have been helping me out for the past week. There were 51 bikes and three cages on this run. After we paid our respects we went to Mr. Jimmy Jackson’s house where he had a wall of crosses for every soldier that was KIA. We got to meet Mr. Jackson and his family this patriot knew exactly how many soldiers have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. They local chapter of Wife’s and Mom’s Of the Military along with the HOG have raised money to put the soldiers names on every cross. Let me tell you the chills that ran up my back when you turn the corner and see all the crosses with little state flags on every cross.

The next morning I left early as to avoid traffic work zones with the reduced speed. I got to the Wal-Mart at 7:25 there were already five bikes there. Within an hour there were 40 bikes, at 8:45 gave the safety briefing, and introduced myself. There were several new members in the group that I welcomed to our large family. We were asked to group up for a picture. It will be sent to the soldiers in the same unit that Spc. Tribble served with in Iraq which is a great honor. Lee Bryant representing the local HOG chapter gave the prayer over the bikes, and the mission. When we arrived at the Palms Funeral Home there were a total of 68 bikes and two cages.

When we entered Danbury right off Hwy 35 there were flags large and small ones on each side of the road all the way to the church. People were everywhere waving flags with their children doing the same. At the City Park there was a sign that hung over the road it said “Welcome Home” Our True American Hero Spc. Brett L. Tribble. The Fire trucks as well as EMT, and Chief Stone escorted us all the way to the church. We then got the honor of escorting the family from a friend’s house to the church for the service. We had flags all the way to the cemetery. After the service we escorted the family and the coach to the cemetery back the same way we came in with flags on both sides of the road. When we made the turn toward the cemetery there were two large fire trucks which had extended the ladders out and hung the United States Flag and Texas Flag in an arch entering the cemetery. After the service I got together with my wingmen and co-captains, Ronnie Nelson PGR, Bobby Britton PGR Southern Proud President, and Gunner President Los Malos, Lee Bryant Brazoria HOG Representative. We presented the family with the plague and gave our condolences to them each. If it was not for Bobby Britton and the use of his truck with all the water he had purchased we would have been in dire straits because on the way home the temperature read 100 F.

The pride these towns’ people showed for this young man just made you proud to be an American. The tears ran down your face to have the honor to take this soldier to his final resting place. Once again I would like to thank everyone for their participation in honoring this Fallen Hero.
