| To the family of Sgt. Brand: I pray that you will be able to draw strength from the support community that you saw today. From the soldiers on hand to the law enforcement officers to the civilians that lined the roads, all were there for Sgt. Brand and his family. I am sorry I never got to shake his hand but I am so thankful to his family for allowing the Patriot Guard to honor him. I thank you all for this honor and priviledge. |

| I served with Sgt.Brand in Delta Co The Old Guard, when he was in 2nd Plt. We did a number of missions in Arlington together. He was a good man, loved his country and loved the Army. He had a way of making you grin, even in the worst of times. He taught me a few things, always willing to help a fellow soldier. Id like to see someone who could outrun him. We ran one day, started off two miles, and then went to 8 like it was nothing. I give my condolences to his family and friends he left behind. |

I stood yesterday in awe. When I saw the city of Greenville TX and L3(Gov.Con.) come to a stand still to Honor one of their heros that was also a neighbor. There was easily 3000 to 5000 people that were stopped in traffic and instead of sitting in their cars, they came out to the streets waving there flags. Everyone from grade schoolers to senior citizens at a nursing home HONORED this Hero. I have been on a couple of Escort Missions but never one that stood out like this did. Thank you Horsepen, Nighthawk and Top(my fellow Murtedian-mad dog) for making that escort so seemless.
Then Today. As DD said, "this is the biggest thing to come to Caddo Mills TX", and did they know it. They honored this hero like he should have been. I never had a rush of emotion until I read some of those signs. Thank you to the Brand Family, Greenville, Caddo Mills, and the PGR. I will see you all at the next one.

| Thanks, Blayz......wonderful video. I missed that part of the mission....now I know! Thanks a lot! I generally just do a copy/paste to this site. If you did the same, I don't know why it didn't "act" normally a a hyperlink. Anyway, doesn't matter. Copy/paste to address bar worked just as well. Everyone else can easily do the same. Thanks again. |

God bless you Sgt. Brand - you are a true american hero. I am a PGR member in Houston and recently had an email in my in box with the tribute video on it.... amazing work by a guy named Brian(?). I have watched it over and over. I have ridden many PGR rides but have never seen it from the outside looking in.
PGR brothers and sisters - you are doing a wonderful thing for our heroes. Keep up the good work. And remember that we should never take freedom for granted. Thanks to those who are serving, who have served and who will serve. May your efforts not be in vain. |

Great Job Texas, is only the first words, to be followed by,,, magnificent awe-inspiring unbelievable unfathomable beauty.
I am beyond words. This video, that town, this Hero, that welcome home, goes beyond a few tears, and a touched heart.
My fellow Patriot Guard, that is why we stand. For hours in the cold or 10 minutes in the sweltering heat, we stand because we love. A true American definition of the United States Of America, is that we love one another with the biggest heart imaginable. A heart that grieves the loss of one hero after another, and we love with the same heart that can welcome home with outstretched arms those heros that walk off the plane.
I cannot express the immense hole in my heart for Sgt. Emerson Brand, but that hole slowly heals with pride at watching Americans come together to love one another. Thank you Texas for capturing the American spirit in the video. Cricket |
