As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, on or off duty, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.
I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

Hi. I'm Nick and I went to school with Ivan. He was and is a very dear friend of mine. It makes me so happy to see all of you saluting him at this time. Ivan was always destined to be a hero. I remember our friends used to play full contact football every sunday at noon at the local middle school. Ivan was a short stocky boy with amazing strength and the will to press on. He always gave his all in every play and never stopped until the game was over. After high school he went to College in Eureka california but said that it didnt feel like that was the place for him. He joined The Marines and found his niche. After his first deployment to Iraq I saw him when he was on leave. He said that he loved his job and he wanted to be a Marine for the rest of his life. He always was a strong person. Stronger then me. I love him to this very day. He will be sorely missed by a lot of people. He is our hometown hero! I'm going to ride my bike to his funeral and pay my respects. Heres to a man who rose to the call of his country and gave his life for all of us!

| I just saw it on the WBC's website that they are comfirmed to be at LCPL Wilson's funeral.... He is a very good friend of mine and I will be there with my flag held high. He deserves it. I ask that anyone who can make it, please do. That my home town and he is a home town hero. The entire county is going to be there. Its a small town in the woods, and if these WBC folks think they can come in and trample over an American heroes passing, they got another thing coming... His parents have been though enough as it is. As have his siblings. They dont need to see these fools masquerading as a church there. Please, as many of you as possible, come help me shield his family from these people. I know that i'm new here, and that i'm sure that you all try to make it to as many missions as possible, so my words may be watsed because it is already a priority. But this is a very personal matter for me. He's a dear friend and a hero. Thank you. |

Sacramento Area Riders--This is a two part mission.
Thursday 14Aug08 pick up and escort to Lower Lake California
The PGR will post a Flag Line at his arrival on Aug 14, at 1202 pm (1202 - noon), at Sacramento Airport. We will stage at 10:45 at the ARCO AM PM located just outside the airport, on Airport Blvd, just off I 5, going into the Airport. You can't miss it.
We will KSU at 11:00pm (1100)and proceed into Sacramento International Airport, arrival point to be announced at the Arco AM/PM. We will set a Flag line for the young Marines return home.
After the Flag line, we will escort the Fallen Hero to the Jones and Lewis Memorial Chapel at 16140 Morgan Valley Rd, Lower Lake, Ca. (Also known as "Main St")
The ride is a approx 105 miles and should take between 2 and 2.5 hours. Please insure you have a full gas tank before leaving the Airport ARCO AM PM and you have water/fluid on your bikes. Camelback Hydration is recommended. The weather looks to be HOT and DRY. Also, I realize that some may only have the time to attend the flag line and/or a portion of the escort - no problem. Whatever you can do to assist in honoring this young Marine's sacrifice will be appreciated. All PGR and all other MC groups will be utilized.
Saturday 16Aug08 Services in Lower Lake CA. On Aug 16, at 8:45 am (0845), we will stage at the gas station at Tower Mart Gas Station, 9815 Hwy 53, Lower Lake, Ca.

At this location, PGR and other Riders will be assigned their Missions. Some will ride escort, some will go on to the Church and establish a Flag Line, some will go to other locations along the route to set their bikes and flags.
We will KSU to the Jones and Lewis Memorial Chapel at 16140 Morgan Valley Rd, Lower Lake, Ca. at 8:55 am (0855).

Again, have plenty of fluids on you. Parking at the cemetery is limited and is on hard packed dirt. After the funeral, we will arrange a staging point for those Riders wishing to ride home in groups.
