Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. John D. Antioch,Thanks for being one of our heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.
We salute you , My Friend
Final Inspection
The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining. Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, soldier. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime. When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord. It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don’t, I’ll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God. "Step forward now, soldier you’ve borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets; you’ve done your time in Hell."

I'll be there. Mondays happen to be my day off. I don't have a bike, but I'll make sure my truck is good and clean for the ceremony. I'll bring a case or two of water in an ice chest to share. I've also got an Easy Up in the back of my pick up that I use when I fly my planes. I'll see you there. |

| The forecast at Weatherchannel.com calls for 83 degrees with a 15 mph breeze for Monday in Antioch. Hopefully the Weathercasters will be right for once. Today was miserable. I drive truck in this area and it was 106 at noon and 111 by 13:00. Then it clouded up and got humid and rainy. My wife was happy cause it reminded her of her home in North Carolina. I don't see how anyone can live like that all of the time, even if the area is beautiful. Anyways, hopefully the Delta Breeze will kick in like they say it will, and we'll be able to concentrate on things other than the weather. I'll still bring the cold water, pepsi's, and an easy up. |
