Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of 1st Lt. Jeffrey F. Deprimo,Thanks for being one of our heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.

We salute you , My Friend

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

Thank you so much for everyone who was able to participate in this 2 day mission. Many thanks to Tim Young, PA ASC East, for all his help in putting the mission together while I was in DC. The viewing services were held Tuesday from 1400 till 2000 that evening. We started in the sunshine at about 80'. But by 1600 it was pouring rain, with thunder and lightning. It only lasted for a short time, but turned much cooler as the day went on. There were approximately 25 of us throughout the day. Special thanks to the Friends of the Forgotten, who showed up to pay their respects and relieved many of us who had been standing in line. Thanks for your help guys. Wednesday started a little chilly, about 42'. Services were held at St. Mary's Help Of Christians Church with a 35 bike procession. Many thanks to my fellow RC's... Mickey Finn, Gerry Pawlowski, Ed Goehring, Jack Williams and Al Leib, for all their support through both days of this mission. My thanks to all of you for being there. Rest in peace 1st Lt. Deprimo. We will all continue to pray for your family.
