| I live on the coast, where the sun rises slowly, almost reluctantly; you live where the light comes suddenly to warm cold cheeks and the sides of the barns. I hope that as you see those mornings, you will know that your daughter has been welcomed by God, and that He will sustain you. |

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpl.Jessica A. Ellis,Thanks for being one of our heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.
We salute you , My Friend
Final Inspection
The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. She hoped her shoes were shining. Just as brightly as her brass. "Step forward now, soldier. How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?" The soldier squared her shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep.... Though I worked a lot of overtime. When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unwomanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord. It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don’t, I’ll understand. There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of her God. "Step forward now, soldier you’ve borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets; you’ve done your time in Hell."

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. So many, so heroic, so painful. I am standing by with my brothers and sisters in Portland to ride 300 miles to pay my respects to another of America's finest that has fallen in battle. It is a pittance of my time to give up to honor this fine young lady who has given everything for my freedom. I wish I could do more. I pray that the hand of God will sweep over the friends and family of Jessica and take away as much pain as possible. I will be there for you Thursday Jessica. Until then......... |

Cpl. Jessica A. Ellis, thank you from a grateful nation for your sacrifice you are a true American HERO and May God Bless all your family and friends in this time of sorrow.
SOLDIER I was that which others did not want to be. I went where others Feared to go, and did what others Failed to do. I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness… should I fail. I have seen the Face of terror; Felt the stinging cold of Fear; and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love. I have cried, Pained, and Hoped… but most of all, I have lived times others would say were best Forgotten. At least someday I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was… a Soldier.

I am planning on heading down for this Mission Thursday morning from Central WA. The timing of the service is going to make it an early morning, but it appears that we should be complete in time to get headed out by early afternoon for home.
My ride plan is currently as follows. The Times are tight, as Google says the drive time is 3 hours and 12 minutes, and I have 3 and 1/2 hours from leaving home to reach the staging area.
Google Map Link: endleton+OR+to:Baker+City,+OR&mra=ps&mrcr=2,3&sll=45.54598,-118.920845&sspn=2.577594,4.828491&ie=UTF8&z=8>
My current plan is to head out of Sunnyside WA. at 5:30 AM...should put me at the 395/I82 junction in Kennewick at 6:15 am.
Anyone from Tricities of East or North that would like to link up there, I will pull over at the end of the on ramp, and see if anyone is waiting there. If Im early I will wait until a couple of minutes past 6:15 before heading out.
That should put us hitting the I82/I84 Junction at 6:50 AM. We will be meeting up with the Portland area group led by Kevin Williams a the rest area just east of the junction a couple of miles we will "ride through" and they will be ready to roll after a short break.
I will need 1 gas stop, and am planning on Pendleton, as it is right around 1/2 way. From Pendleton it is 95 miles...1, hr 36 minutes to Baker City. This will need to be a quick stop, and stretch, drink of water and back on the road.
Anyone who thinks they may want to meet please email me at jeffmcpa@patriotguard.org so I have an idea what to expect.
