Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of PFC Aaron J Ward. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Aaron.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

The darkness of the night is just beginning to lift here in Iowa as I write these words of sympathy to the family of U.S. Army PFC Aaron J. Ward. There is much sorrow across our nation amongst the military and patriot communities for what you must endure in the coming hours. All who love and cherish our nation and our liberties...fully realize that there is a debt of honor that we owe to all who have ever stood in the way of our enemies. The U.S. Army Military Police has been a part of my life since I was a young soldier in 1962; and I understand the nature of the hazards that Aaron faced. I am so sorry that such heart ache has come to your family. Please know that many will ever carry on the work that Aaron so nobly moved forward; and we will do our best to honor his memory. It is my prayer to Our Heavenly Father that all the beloved of this young American ...will be comforted by the outpouring of the love of strangers...and that they will find peace and solace through all the days to be. That Guardian Angels will ever be near to accompany them through life's journey toward their final and everlasting reunion with their loved one.

Psalm 139: 9-10 "If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there thy hand shall lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me."

The PGR was augmented by Rolling Thunder riders for a total of 40 riders and 2 cages. 4 PGR members went to the flight line to greet PFC Ward's A/C. After his arrival he was placed in the waiting coach. The 4 PGR riders escorted Aaron to the March Gate were the remaining riders joined for the escort to Sun City. The PGR had 6 road guards to blaze the trail. However the Gunny did not tell them that PFC Ward was going to be driven past his High school and the road guards got separated. The Gunny is very sorry for the mixup and will endeavor to do better.
Following the escort several riders made the ride to Long Beach to welcome home and escort CPL Guzman from Dover.
The family wishes to thank the PGR for honoring their lived one.
Borg will R/C tomorrow.

14 May 2008 Mission: Pfc. Ward Started with 15 bikes, one cage. We formed a flag line for the family to enter the Chapel. During the service, the PGR had our group meeting and prayer. Assignments were made and volunteers stepped up as usual. After the service, we formed a flag line for Pfc. Ward to enter the coach. On the way to RNC, the missing man formation lead the coach. At RNC, we were met with 5 more PGR members, making the total 20. Flag lines were formed for Pfc. Wards military service at RNC from start to the return to the coach. I would like to thank everyone for your participation; many family members expressed their appreciation for our attendance. Special thanks to the Lady Road Guards……you did a great job for your first time. Mission Complete…….Borg R/C

For those PGR members who so generously gave up their dog tags, I have replacement ones in hand for you.

Please remind me who you are when we meet again (my weary brain seems to have lost that file) or if you would prefer, drop me an email with your address & I would be more than happy to mail it.

Again, thank-you for stepping up.
