Thoughts and prayers are extended to the family of Spc. Ronald J. Tucker.  His service and ultimate sacrifice for his country and fellow man will not be forgotten.  May he rest in eternal peace and may God provide the comfort and solace that his loved ones so dearly need.

I am sad to say I have a commitment in the morning and will miss at least the church part of this mission. If I read this right we will be doing an escort to the cemetary and a flag line there as well. I could be at the church around 10:30 for the escort or just meet everyone at Evergreen. Tell me which is better and I will do my best to make a small part of the mission to honor our hometown hero.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

Rest well in Valhalla.

And thank you.
