Proud Private First Class Crookston,

Thank you for your hardwork, honor, dedication and committment to this great Nation of ours. May we meet at the Gates of Heaven and laugh and play in those beautiful open fields, the blue blue skies without worry or pain.

Mr. and Mrs. Crookston,

Our Nation is in debt to you and your family. Your son and US Army Veteran, shared and has touched so many people in many different places. His passion, love and who he grew up to be all was due to how you were such kind, passionate and caring parents. Thank you for having taking the time each day, for showing your son the love you gave him, for reaching how and holding his hand when needed. Thank you for raising him the best way you have as his mom and dad.
Thank you for having done the right things as his parents.

Semper Fi.

Mission Update

We will stage for the first part of this mission in the church parking lot. The church is on the southeast corner of Yale Ave and Monaco Pkwy. From I-25, take the Yale Ave exit, #202, which is in south Denver just north of Hampden. Go east on Yale about 0.7 miles to Monaco Pkwy. Continue east on Yale past Monaco and take the first right into the church parking lot past the building, and we will be staging in the southeast corner of the parking lot.

Stage - 1000 (10:00 am)
Mission Brief - 1015 (10:15 am)
Flag line - 1030 (10:30 am)

There is a good chance of a large attendance for this service, with a lot of Police from the City of Lakewood because of a family connection. Again, I am asking for Colorado PGR to make every effort to attend this mission.

There will also be a service at Ft Logan National Cemetery the same day.
This burial service will take place at 1300 (1:00 pm) at Area A. If you attend
the funeral service, we will move as a group over to Ft Logan after the
service has begun. If you can only attend the service at Ft Logan, please
do so and we will meet you there.

Staging for this part of the mission:

Ft Logan National Cemetery Information Center
3698 S. Sheridan Blvd
Denver, Colorado 80235

Stage - 1200 (noon)
Mission Brief - 1215 (12:15 pm)
Move to Area A - 1230 (12:30 pm)

I will also be the Ride Captain for this part of the mission.

Thank you, Pfc. Crookston, for the mission you gave to your life in protecting our freedoms, and striving to give others, theirs. The lives of you and the men and women who have gone before you are raised high, and not given in vain. I honor you, and pray that our children will learn to do the same throughout coming generations. God bless your family, and may they return to their memories and rejoice in the life of a hero.

29 Jan 2008 11:00 PM Alert

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.

Fading light, dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night.

Thanks and praise, for our days,
'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky;
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

Sun has set, shadows come,
Time has fled, Scouts must go to their beds
Always true to the promise that they made.

While the light fades from sight,
And the stars gleaming rays softly send,
To thy hands we our souls, Lord, commend.

Rest in peace, young soldier. I will do my best to attend your service.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero who stood tall for his homeland in this very sad time in your lives, but remember that you knew a hero first hand while the rest of us just get to hear about their heroic deeds. My prayers are that our GOD may bring peace and comfort to all of you during this tragic time. Please know that not just me , but a country full of people like me owe you a dept that can never be repaid. But please know that your loved one is now serving in the Army of our LORD in heaven, and the LORD said if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and recieve you unto myself that where I am there you may be also. Know that it says in the Bible in 2nd Corinthians 5:8 , we are confident I say , willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the LORD. No one can ever say that your loved one isn't a HERO, they were willing to serve that the rest of us may enjoy the freedom we do today, and the sacrifice you and your family have endured so our nation can remain the home of the free because of the brave. We are all brothers and sisters in arms and we don't forget one of our own, rest in peace my comrade, your mission is complete and now it's time for you to rest. May GOD Bless each and everyone of you.
