Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of LCpl James M. Gluff. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, James.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

"Thank you" hardly seems nearly enough, but when it's all you have to give, it's everything. Thank you, Devil Dog, for making the sacrifice so many great warriors before you have made. You may now take you place among those lofty ranks, on the right arm of God. Your mission here on earth is complete, it is now time for US to do ours. A grateful nation feels your loss, and will never forget you. You will be remembered not only for how you died, but how you lived, as a United States MARINE! Ooh Rah!! To your family and friends:

"I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic he died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom."

I will stand with the Patriot Guard, until the Patriot Guard stands for me. (USMC-2111)

LCpl Gluff, you are so truly appreciated. I know you have been welcomed as a hero at heaven's gates by all our fallen warriors who have gone before you, including my Marine LCpl, who also was killed in Al Anbar. You rest easy now James...you have completed your selfless mission here, and you will be remembered, always.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is
shaped. Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of
others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.
That ripple builds others. Those ripples - crossing each other from a million
different centers of energy - build a current that can sweep down the mightiest
walls of oppression and injustice.
