Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you. Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier. One died for your sins, the other for your freedom.

To the family, friends, and comrades of 2Lt Tracy Alger....Know that many more were standing watch in spirit today as you said goodbye to your loved one.

Mission Complete Report
Friday Night Visitation - Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer, WI
Honoring 2nd Lt. Tracy Lynn Alger was a success. We had 14 flags flying high with a landscape of R/W/B’s highlighting the foreground of the funeral home.
There were 4 brave soles who rode their bikes and the rest caged it.
We received many thanks from the family and friends who attended the visitation.

Saturday Funeral Service-New Hope Lutheran Church, Sand Creek, WI
We had a great turnout in honoring 2nd Lt. Alger. 62 flags, 35 bikes, and 20 cages. As cold as it was, many road 2-3 hours on their bikes for this mission and then stood in the cold outlining the driveway of the church for another hour. The wind was blowing quite hard, which made the flags fly and snap at times.
Just before the casket was brought out of the church , our flag line was elbow to elbow, surrounding the hearse in a horse shoe shape, and made a wall of R/W/B.
When they brought the casket out of the church, the family followed, even Tracy’s puppy was there, brought tears to my eyes. The family returned to the church, and we stood down. Before we left for Stanley, we observed, circling above the church, a lone Bald Eagle.

Burial- Saint Mary’s of Czestochowa Cemetery, Stanley, Wi
We drove 50 miles to the cemetery in Stanley. We had 20 flags, 5 bikes and 8 cages. Ed Bergey did a wonderful job surrounding the burial site with flags. It really was impressive.
Taps and the 21 gun salute was performed.
While the flag was being folded, you could here a pin drop, it was so quite. The minister gave his message, and then, many people placed a rose on the casket.
We received many thanks, hand shakes, and many “thanks for what you do.”
It is all done in honor of our fallen soldiers, and their families.

A big heart felt thank you to all who attended and braved the cold Friday and Saturday, and to our MN PGR brothers and sisters, who once again put us over the top and helped make this mission a success.
Special Thanks to Ed Bergey for all of his work in sharing the responsibilities of this mission.

Barb James, R/C said in her Completed Mission Report:

"Before we left for Stanley, we observed, circling above the church, a lone Bald Eagle."

This is at least the 7th or 8th report I know of that one or more Bald Eagles appear at the conclusion of one of our fallen heroes funerals. I am convinced this is a sign from God that our heroes are in a better place and smiling down from above.
Thank you for all you PGR patriots who stood the flagline. Wish I could have been there.
Thanks Barb for the touching report.

Recieved from Tracy's sister.

Dear Patriot Guard Riders,

The family of 2LT Tracy Lynn Alger would like to express our gratitude for
the services provided to our family during our time of great sorrow.  My
sister, 2LT Tracy Lynn Alger, was killed in action on 01 Nov 07 in Iraq when
her vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device.  We are forever
grateful for the members of the Patriot Guard Riders - their kind words,
actions, and dedication to honoring fallen service members.  Words cannot
express how much it meant to our family to be surrounded by individuals who
appreciated and honored the sacrifice my sister made for our beloved
country.  Please accept our words of gratitude and know that each member of
the Patriot Guard Riders will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Thank you for your continued dedication to our country and military service
members.  May God continue to bless our beloved country!

 Sincerely,
 Tanya C. Leo

Thank you John. I wish I could have made it up there for Tracy’s service.

She and her family were and are in my heart.

We share the same last name, but no relation.
