I add my sentiments to those already expressed. My heartfelt condolences to Sergeant Gillespie's family. To his bride, Lisa, may cherished and loving memories support and sustain you through this difficult time. To his four young children, always know that your dad(dy) is a hero. Be very proud of him. Randy, you have joined heroes past who have given their all in defense of those who claim American soil as home. From one airman to another, I thank you for your service; I salute you for your sacrifice. Rest now, young warrior, and assume your place of honor among those who have gone before you.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of MSgt Randy J. Gillespie. The ultimate sacrifice of this True American Hero, in defense of our freedoms, will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. May God comfort this family and help them find peace at a most difficult time.

We must never forget who gets the credit for the Freedoms we have, of which we should be eternally
grateful.

I watched the flag pass by one day,
It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it,
And then he stood at ease..
I looked at him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair cut square and eyes alert
He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign soil
How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down?
How many died at sea
How many foxholes were soldiers' graves?
No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night,
When everything was still,
I listened to the bugler play
And felt a sudden chill.
I wondered just how many times
That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives,
Of fathers, sons and husbands
With interrupted lives .
I thought about a graveyard
At the bottom of the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington.
No, freedom isn't free.

To Lisa and the family. Our son inlaw had the privalige of serving under your husband at Luke AFB. My wife and I were with our son in law Michael at Mcchord AFB when he recieved the call regarding MSgt. Gillespie. He broke down and stated MSgt. Gillespie was the finest MSgt. he had worked under. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. Michael is also a member of the Honor Guards at McChord. His desire is to fold MSgt. Randy  J. Gillespies flag. We have lost a great hero. I hope to have the honor of meeting you at his arrival at Luke AFB.  Greg & Janell

Thank you, MSgt Gillespie, for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To Randy's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son was killed last year in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear brave warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Randy will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Hey folks...As of late last night there was still no confirmed time of arrival scheduled for MSgt Gillespie. We know that our Heroes generally arrive at Luke midday...somewhere between noon and 2 as a norm. At this point I would suggest those wanting to meet MSgt Gillespie be prepared for that time frame (acknowledging it is a broad time frame and could be different all together). As soon as we have a confirmed time it will be posted and sent out State wide.
Pat Eagan will be RC for this mission.
