Al DeKruif - ARC will lead the Mankato part of this mission.

We will stage at Sakatah Trail Resort (24102 Greenland Rd, Madison Lake, MN 56063) There is 1/2 mile of gravel so you're more than welcome to meet up at Faribault Harley Davidson (2704 Airport Dr, Faribault, MN, just of I-35) instead. The time schedule is very tight so please be on time.

Sadly, I have attended nearly 40 missions in the past year, and they never get any easier. Yesterday was no different. On a beautiful, sunny morning in the quiet little town of Lake City, MN, a community wept for one of its own. The love and support the city of Lake City showed the Hebert family was just overwhelming. Businesses throughout the community displayed signs of sorrow, thanks and support. People lined the streets all the way from the church to the cemetary, with nearly everyone proudly waving their American flags. Businesses stopped working for a time so their employees could come outside to say Goodbye to their hometown hero. But when I saw the children lining the streets, standing tall and proud, waving their tiny flags (some even saluting) i was afraid I wasn't going to be able to finish the escort. The tears welled up in my eyes and streamed down my cheeks so much so that my vision was getting blurred. God Bless the little children for they are our future, and if some good can come from Spc. Heberts passing, I pray this future generation took to heart the lesson they learned this day and will forever remember to treasure those who so valiantly risk their lives for our very freedom. Thank You Lake City, MN for touching my heart. You truly showed what a real HERO Tony Hebert was, in so many ways more than just a brave soldier.

RIP Tony. Though you are gone from among us much too soon, it was very evident yesterday that even in your few short years you made a huge impact on many, many people.
