On every headstone there are two dates. One marks the beginning of a life, the second, the end. It's the dash that represents the life we all lead. Sgt Jason Schumann chose to live his life for his country and there are few words that can adequately express our gratitude for his sacrifice. His "dash" leaves a mark on us all.
I pray that the peace of our Lord and Saviour comfort the friends and family of this young hero as you deal with this difficult time. Know that Jason will never be forgotten.

May you" Sgt. Jason A. Schumann"(and all of our fallen soldiers) be remembered everyday - not just on Memorial Day. It is because of your sacrifices that we are able to enjoy this great country that we are blessed to live in. So many people forget the losses that many live with day to day. Whether that loss it temporary while a dad, mom, brother, sister, son, daughter or just a friend is away protecting our freedom ... or permanent - the ultimate sacrifice. We should all offer a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, a friendship - to ANY one that is gong through this loss. Let's remember them everyday!
