These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. May your family and all who loved you find comfort. You served our country well. Now PGR will honor and ride for you. I think of the words of a poet friend, a Vietnam Veteran, who penned these words:

"I am a whisper found
In the wind of questions flow
Too much too soon is faded
From the land where answers grow

Turn up the sky one corner
Take care to nurture the course
And find me just a marvel
That shines with no remorse"

God Bless and keep you until that Day of Great Reunion
With Care

Today was one that should make all PGR proud. We had about 46 bikes and a Cage to escort Spc Dan Nguyen from the Airport. this was a low number compared to recent missions but I consider it real high sence there was 2 other missions on tuesday and another one today. I thank everyone on that is attending any of these missions.

I started out the day at What-a-burger just to get fueled up for what might turn into a long hot one. I then meet with all the people involved from the Army, LEOs, and finally the family. I asked each one where they wanted us, they all responded that it was our decision. We came up with a plan that made them all happy on this terrible day for the Nguyen family. We did not have our flag truck today so we made due the old way by removing them from bikes. Even though we had one USA flag for every 3 PGR, it was an impressive Honor line. I started the morning with a USA flag and a PGR flag. I ended it with a South Vietnam flag instead of the PGR and honored to fly it. The LEO's shut down all of the road ways and Interstate, and it was lunch time. The Sugar Land PD is great.
