Your heroic service and sacrifice are so deeply appreciated, Sgt Wilson. Our nation mourns your loss and will remember you always as a true American hero. To Christopher's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of your grief-my son was killed in Iraq last year. I hope wonderful memories of your dear hero will help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Christopher will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of courage and honor that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Sgt Christopher M. Wilson. May your memories offer you comfort until you meet again. Thank you Sargent, for your service and sacrifice. Rest in peace son a true hero - you will never be forgotten!

If there is ever a tomorrow when we are not together there is something you must always remember: you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think, but most important of all, even if we are apart, I'll always be with you.

Following the service, as the flag line was disbanding, I had the pleasure of talking briefly with Mr. Halliday. In spite of what I can only imagine is crushing grief, he took a moment to express his family's gratitude for the PGR's presence and participation, and asked me to share his comments with all PGR members who were in attendance.
I responded by saying that while most of us may not have known Christopher personally, he was a brother to each of us, and we all consider it a privilege to have been invited to participate in the services in Christopher's honor.
It was obvious that Christopher was well loved by family, friends and community, and will be missed a great deal. On a personal level, I would like to thank Sgt. Wilson for his patriotism, his service, and his dedication to duty. And, to wish his family peace in the days and years to come.

The first part of this Honor mission for SGT Christopher M. Wilson is complete. This Hero was escorted from Westover ARB on Sunday 4-08-07 by eight PGR members to Ryder Funeral Home in South Hadley, MA.. We were met by family with open arms and invited to pay our respects to Christopher.
On Monday 4-09-07 twenty-seven riders and five cages from NH, ME, CT and MA were given the honor to proudly escort and stand for the funeral and reception at the Second Baptist Church in South Hadley, MA for this warrior and his family and friends. SGT Wilson will be buried in ANC Wednesday 4-11-07 with escort from our PGR brothers and sisters in MD and  VA. The PGR of New England and across the nation will be with the Halliday family today in their thoughts and prayers. Thank you all who attended this mission riding in the cold of a winter that won't quit, and those who were with us in spirit, and thank you to Ilka and Scott Halliday and their family for allowing us the privilage to honor Christopher, a true HERO.

God Bless Our Troops!

I'd like to add a quick note to say a very special thank you to Scott and Ilka for the priviledge of being able to be part of the show of respect and honor for Christopher. It was very kind and thoughtful of you to include us. Please know we keep you and your hero in our thoughts. Feel free to contact us when you're ready. And to Bix: very well done my friend! You made it all look great! Donna and I are proud to have been part of your terrific mission! To all the members of the Patriot Guard who turned out for the escort on Sunday and the services on Monday, thank you all very much for braving the cold!
