Thank you, LCpl Holzhauer, for your service and sacrifice; for your willingness to stand for our country and to protect its freedoms. To Raymond's family, I offer my prayers and sympathies. I understand what you are dealing with-my son was killed in Al Anbar last March. I pray the wonderful memories you carry of your dear Raymond will help eventually to ease the pain you now endure. Know that your courageous young warrior will be remembered always as a true American hero, a young man of honor and strength. We are with you in your grief. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Standing in memory of Army Pfc. Jeremy Drexler. My friend. My hero. Killed by an IED in Baghdad, Iraq, May 2, 2004. Keep his two brothers in your prayers. Naval Petty Officer 2nd Class, Timothy Drexler, and Marine Sergeant Kenny Drexler.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Hugs From Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From your loved one way up high.

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From your someone special up above.

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.
Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice for my family and our counrty. You will not be forgotten. God bless you and your family

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Lcpl Raymond J. Holzhauer. He is a true American Hero - and will never be forgotten.

I lived in Dwight, Illinois as a youngster. I had two older brothers - one a Marine and one in the Army. I served in the Navy. It is a tragedy to lose this young man from such a small wonderful town. Dwight is very patriotic, and Raymond will be sadly missed. May he rest in eternal peace.
