Thank you, Pfc Kosters, for your unselfish sacrifice to our country. To Cory's family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand what you are dealing with-I lost my son in Iraq last March. I know you are so proud of Cory, for his willingness to stand up for his country when so many are not. I hope the wonderful memories you have of your dear hero will eventually help to ease the pain you endure today. Cory will not be forgotten by us. He will be remembered always as a true American hero. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you: 1. Jesus Christ. 2. The American G.I. One died for your soul, the other for your Freedom.

R.I.P. AIRBORNE!

I am a Paratrooper
I serve my country.
If you tell me to kill the enemy, they will die or I will die trying.
I am a paratrooper. I will fight when others quit. No one in this world can fight as hard, march as far, or endure as much pain as I.
I serve you. You are an American. I behold that value above any other.
By fighting dangerous battles, I endeavor to uphold the American way.
I am a paratrooper. I have endured physical punishment and grueling training in order to stand amongst the ranks of the Airborne.
I am a paratrooper. I am the first in battle. I have the ability to disrupt the enemy and destroy their efforts.
I can kill. My job is obscene but necessary. I volunteer to eliminate those who would threaten your safety.
You ARE safe. I will protect you. Your home is a haven because I fight on foreign lands. I will stop the enemy before they can attack you - if you allow me.
I am a paratrooper - I am at your command. Use me or lose the war.

What Heroes Gave

Each donned their uniform to be
Defenders of our liberty

Their mission sure, their spirits bright
Guard freedom’s home, be brave to fight

One final day each faced their call
Each gave their best enduring all

We’ll never know what they went through
But know they loved this country true

Deep down inside we should all feel
What heroes gave, their cost so real

We must stay thankful, grateful of
The gift of freedom through their love

Their loved ones bore the gravest pain
What we can’t know, some now sustain

To God I pray their pain will cease
And each will find long-lasting peace

Remember this from year to year
What heroes gave – shan’t disappear

We’ll never let their special day
Their time for honor slip away

These brave fought for a nation free
If not for them, where would we be?
