My sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family of this young soldier. I have a very good friend that is an embedded journalist with this soldiers unit in Iraq, and know first hand what a fine and dedicated soldier he was. I did in fact, just receive this email from Iraq yesterday, and it follows: Scott, It's been a tuff week for my friends and brothers in Iraq. A week ago I/we lost SSGT. Cooper along with three other soldiers I don't know. I liked to call him Coop and Mr. Cooper, ala the TV show "Hang'en with Mr. Cooper". Saturday moring I received more bad news from the Company Commander, Captain Stevenson. One of my best buddies, the Platoon's First Sgt., SFC Russell Borea was killed by an IED, three others aboard his vehicle... all freinds we injured. And now I have received another press release out of Baghdad that another soldier from the 4th BCT 1st CAV has been killed in Ninewa and four others injured. I ask that you pray for them and their families in their hour of need. Michael I assured Mike that the PGR would honor his friends, and show the honor and respect that they so justly deserve.

okay folks, I just received this: You are the best Scott. It warms my heart to know that Coop and Russell is in your heart and in your hands. I am waiting to hear by tomorrow if I will be there in Kentucky and then onto El Paso for Russells ceremony. I'll let you know. I can't thank you enough. I think their soldiers would be honored to have one of your flags, www.patriotguard.org. If you are able to take a picture of the flag at the ceremony and send it along I think that flag would find it's way into the CP of Alpha CO. If you can do the same flag and picture at SFC Russell Borea's ceremomy for SSG Medina and SSG Dortch I know they would appreciate it beyon belief... they are Russell's true brothers in every since of the word. Here is SSGT Medina's address in Iraq. He will know what to do. SSG. Medina A co. 2/7 CAV. 4BCT. 1CD. FOB Marez. Iraq. APO. AE 09334 Rodney, please pass this along to Medina, thank you. --- scott@rustynailrenovations.com wrote: > Mike, > I was just checking the PGR site, and we have a > mission upcoming for a Sgt > Cooper in Kentucky, and SFC Borea's mission is still > on the watch list. > Rest assured my friend, that they will be taken care > of. > > Keep your head down and powder dry my friend! > > Scott > > > > > > It's been a tuff week for my friends and brothers > in > > Iraq. WLEX TV is misinformed......................

I spoke with the funeral director at Boone-Nichols Funeral Home, and the times I posted is per his information. His number is 606-845-2231.
He informed me that the public visitation starts at 6 PM
There is a private service for the family...he would not share that information with me..he said that is to be a private service.

I'll update as more information becomes available.

It wouldn't be the first time a TV reporter delivered the news wrong!!..........
