A couple of notes to the new PGR riders,
a) Keep watching here until the mission goes from watch list to 'confirmed mission'. If/when the family invites us; a final itinerary will be posted.
b) a ride captain will be assigned to the mission, this looks like it may go to Waco/Killeen as the closest ride captain.
c) the ride captain will recon a staging area, where the services will be held as well as the cemetery.
d) the ride captain will post all this for the mission
e) other area ride captains will then post the staging areas and leave times for their areas
f) be prepared for short notice, many times we do not get a 'mission - go' until a day or two before the services
g) remember we ride to honor the fallen hero and to offer support and respect for the family.
h) let friends and family know that you do not need to ride a motorcycle to attend a mission, all who care to honor a fallen hero are welcome

On a side note, Central Texas riders should know that Bexar Wolf (Tad) is the Austin Ride Captain. If he is able to make this mission, he will post a ride schedule. If not, I will most likely make the mission and then post the staging, route and ksu time. Please check the ' Forums > Regional Forums > MidWest PGR Forum > Texas Contacts and Events ' for the latest information.

anyone in the Austin and surronding area can e-mail me at( carrington(@) austin (.) rr (.) com ) ( remove the spaces and parrens ) I am working on an Austin area email list. I think BexarWolf has one going, but am not sure. Tad, let me know.

I am thinking of a meet and greet for next Thursday night (03-16-2006) at Antonio's Restraunt (I-35 and 183). Anyone interested, let me know or just show up. It's also the Honda bike night.

I hear that there is a bike night at the Warehouse on Ben White also, but haven't checked it out. If there is, we could alternate meeting sites for convenience.

The overwhelming response of you wonderful people killed the server a while back and the emailer option on the Members page does not work, so give the great and powerful Oz webmasters time to work out the kinks and then we will be able to email each other easier. Until then, send me an e-mail and I will try and point you in the right direction of an answer.

Carrington - You can add me to your list as I am in the N.W. Austin area (live in Avery Ranch). I would also be in for a meet and greet if that happens as well.

My fellow PGRs...Outstanding show of force at PFC Tina Priest's funeral!!!...I can not even imagine missing this Marine's service after what I saw in Smithville (my 1st PGR mission). I'll definitely be there. For now, chomping at the bit waiting for the Frag to be generated on this next mission.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make this one, folks - got a pretty heavy load of work scheduled next week. If they tarry 'til the weekend, I'll be there if God willing. If I'm not there in person, I'll sure be there in spirit.

Proud and honored to ride with you all. Godspeed, PGR.

I couldn't get out of work for the Smithville mission, but will make this one if it comes to pass. If you are new to the PGR and don't yet know how to contact your Regional Contact Coordinator, send me an e-mail. I handle the Contact Coordination for the state and will forward your contact information to the propper Regional Contact. You will also find these folks listed throughout the Texas regional threads in the Midwest Forums. Thanks for being a member and welcome aboard!!

standing by, work permitting. I will be more prepared this time. I already let my commander know that (unfortunately, all too soon after the other one) there is another posible mission.

Hey Y'all, I'm from the Ft. Hood/ Killeen area but living in SC now. I still keep an eye on the Texas heros. This young man was stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., if anyone has information of a service for him in NC, please let the NC State Captain know. We would be proud to be there for him. Everyone stay safe.
