I am so sorry for your loss and know that God will hold you close inside his heart during this time of mourning. May you soon smile at the good times you shared with John and look forward to being reunited in heaven. Kim Busch sendcare@yahoo.com

For Country…For Freedom

Another brave soldier has fallen today…
while serving his country, in the midst of “Harm’s Way”.

He was fighting for freedom, for us, and Iraq,
and fell silent and still, while under attack.

He gave all he had, like a hero so true…
the ultimate sacrifice…for the red, white, and blue.

Words can’t describe, to a family or friend,
the personal loss, that they feel deep within.

But those that have served, their country before,
can feel the great loss, no matter the war.

This “brother” who’s fallen, for what we believe,
is a hero forever, as we honor and grieve.

His life has been given, so we can go on,
living in freedom, right now and beyond.

Heroes are born in our country each day,
and they give all they have, in their own special way.

We know who they are, for they usually stand out,
and we try to be like them, and what they’re about!

So mourning this hero, and what he stood for,
should remind us each day…of our freedom once more.

For all of you attending this mission either today or tomorrow, thank you.
Know that what you do does make a difference for the families of the fallen.

Below is an e-mail I received from a member of Sgt. McDonough's family.
I wanted to share it with all of you so you know the impact we have when we all come together to do what is right.

==============================================

Hi Nate:
I spoke with John yesterday and I believe we are ready to roll, as they say. As a family member I want you to know how powerful and significant your organization is to us at this time of sadness. We find great comfort in what you do and what you stand for. You signify the fact that Bryan’s death was not in vain; both his life and his death have meaning.

Our family is forever grateful.

Terry

I arrived home awhile ago, and had to sit and digest the patriotic display that I saw from across the street during this young man's visitation. I heard LOTS of comments from the visitors going to the Chapel, and the comments were of astonishment at the number of flags, and the way vehicle and pedestrian traffic was handled. Even the Roseville Police Officer commented on our concern for visitor safety, and the way we were controlling vehicle traffic.  Thank you to the Roseville Police Officers that asisted us with motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

THANK YOU to the lady from KFI that dropped off the tray of home made treats for us. She was greatly impressed with the way we handled ourselves.

THIS IS THE BEST ORGANIZATION ON EARTH, as far as I'm concerned.
