"Any details on the date/time yet?? I read through the posting and didn’t see anything."
The beginning portion of this mission thread was updated earlier today regarding an escort from the airport.

All of us will need to keep an eye on the top of the thread for updates, or within the postings, for any messages from Jeff Anderson. He is the Ride Captain for this mission, and will let us know when there is tentative or confirmed info any part of this mission.

You may also check the box that says "Email me when someone replies to this thread" for automatic updates.

Rest in peace, Spc. Troy Linden. I pray for comfort for your family.

The freedoms we enjoy so readily are won only by the sweat and blood of brave citizens and soldiers of this great country. Our hearts mourn with yours at the loss of another of our American brothers, but I, and my son, and my grandson will long know the sacrifice Troy has given to us. May God grant him rest, and may He give peace to the hearts of those that knew and loved him.

******UPDATE*****

The CAO working with the Linden family is keeping me posted as arangements are being made.

At this point they are waiting on confirmed flight information from Dover to Fargo, ND.  He thought it would be safe to say the escort could be on Friday 7/14/06 or Saturday 7/15/06. As soon as the date and time is confirmed I will post to this thread.

Now for the funeral services.  Services will be held at a church in Detroit Lakes, MN with burial at a rural cemetary 15 to 20 miles away.  Be prepared for a full day.  It looks like the services will be held mid week, week of 7/17/06. Again I will post to this thread ASAP when the date and time is confirmed.

Thank you for your support of the Linden family.

Sincerely,

Jeff Anderson
RCIC

To the family of Spc. Troy C. Linden, my deepest sympathy. We share your grief VERY deeply as we are in the process of a mission to celebrate the life of Spc. Joseph P. Micks, of Rapid River, Michigan, who died in the same incident as Troy. (Tentative date: Wed. July 17) Be aware our sorrow for both of these fine young men is doubled and shared with Troy's family & friends.
Jeff Anderson: We may never meet but we share a common bond. God rest the souls of both of these national heroes.
With utmost respect,
Al Salmi, PGR Ride Captain for Spc. Joe Micks
