for those who have not been to Fargo lately the airport interchange may be a little torn up, i would suggest going 1 mile north and takeing exit for co rd 20 and take frontage going south [old 81] road into airport and at air port turn left to get to parking lot

another alternative is about 4 mi north on I 29 is to take Harwood exit, [good time to fuel at cenex] then go 300 ft east and turn right at fire hall on old 81 and head south till you arrive at airport then turn left

Thoughts and prayers coming your way from SW Minnesota. To all escorting the body, ride proud, and safely bring this hero, PFC Paul A Beyer, home to his family. God speed to you all.

Regretably work obligations will conflict with the escort from Fargo to Jamestown, and again regretably another mission in Ladysmith, WI (closer to home) will conflict with the Memorial service on the 3rd.   Our hearts and prayers are with the family at this very hard time.  For all of those honoring this fine hero......Ride safe and stand proud!

For those coming from the south for tonight's escort, I would suggest taking the 12th Ave N exit, head east, there are a couple of fuel stops right there if you need to top off. Continue east over the 12th Ave bridge (over the RR tracks) take the first road North at the bottom of the bridge (before the light). It will bring you right to the airport.

Ride safe and see you tonight.

Just an fyi for Fargo...
Lars has me as a tentative chase vehicle for tonight. Visto's in West Fargo is donating the use of a trailer for this mission; my son and I will be there with flags flying! We also plan to attend Monday, even though we only have cage for now.

Many blessings to the friends and family of Paul!!!
We will be honored to escort this hero and patriot home!

Looks like Monday 0900-0930 from truck stop east side of Bismarck any and all are welcome to ride along. Anyone wanting to adjust this time frame please reply. I think all are easy to deal with. If we could get a head count we will try to wait till all arrive before heading east.

All right-I'm going to jump in here. WE WILL NOT TALK OF UGs ON THE MISSION THREAD! That subject has no bearing on our preparation at this point-and I would sure hope it has no effect on our attendance! Remember, WE ARE ATTENDING PFC PAUL A. BEYER'S  MEMORIAL SERVICE AT THE INVITATION OF HIS FAMILY, TO PAY ALL THE HONOR AND RESPECT HE AND HIS FAMILY SO RICHLY DESERVE! That is our mission priority above all else! I cannot emphasize enough the importance of flags! Any size-the bigger the better! Even if you have no staff, two people can hold a 3' X 5' flag easily over their heads, and flags can be tucked into your saddlebags, vests, or jackets. I realize staffs are difficult to carry on two wheels without a sturdy holder. WE CANNOT HAVE TOO MANY STARS AND STRIPES FLYING AT THIS MEMORIAL SERVICE OR ON ANY MISSION!
It is my responsibility to oversee and moderate our mission threads. (Refer back to the second sentence) Thank you all in advance, for your compliance with this request!

I am writing to confirm that Paul has arrived home in North Dakota and that his memorial service will be on Monday July 3rd as posted by your North Dakota Ride Captain. Paul's uncle, Rodney Beyer, U. S. Army, Retired was honored to serve as Paul's U. S. Army Escort Officer from Dover, Delaware. The way you honor this fine young man and the comfort your group provides the family is so important that I cannot find the words to thank you enough. Best i can do tonight is to offer chow on me wherever we might meet. THANK YOU! Rick Beyer (Paul's uncle).

I do not ride, but tonight when the procession came into town, I was there, standing on the sidewalk, clapping. It was a wonderous site. Not many things choke me up, but paying my respect to the fallen do. I am truely grateful for their sacrifice, and I give all my respect to them. And those who rode, you also have my respect. Thank you.

This was an amazing 90+ mile journey. Leaving Fargo detours lead us by construction zones where the workers stopped to watch the escort and vehicles honked their support. About sixty miles down the road a few Valley City folks were out showing their support followed further down the road by the folks from Spiritwood. Approaching Jamestown I first noticed a line of cars stopped along the first overpass into town....then as we got closer in the fading light I saw the crowd on the overpass with flags drapped over. The streets in town of course were lined with people and what looked to be almost like a wedding party standing outside clapping...so I'm assuming nerdycool was in this group. (thanks for the warm welcome)...the whole event was amazing as I assume the memorial service will be on Monday. See you there!

Well said Randy !

The thank you's I heard tonight in Jamestown after the escort mission said it all.  Especially the thank you I received from PFC Beyer's uncle, who is in the service, and escorted his body from Dover to Fargo.

I have more to say but it is late and I am wet from the ride back from Jamestown.

Goodnight.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to the Beyer family and friends.  Our appreciation for your husband, son, brother, loved one...  cannot be expressed in words.

I don't think we can make it to this mission.  If any of you would send photos to me so that I can make a slideshow that would be great.  When they turn out well I plan to burn them onto a disk and send them to the families.  (send photos to hartl@heartl.com)

Thank you all.  Have a safe mission and God bless the family and friends of this hero.

This was my 13-year-old son's first mission (thank you, Lars, for packing him), and he is now proud to be a part of what we do and what we stand for (we will be there today)! He was as overwhelmed and touched as I was by the showing of patriotism and respect for Paul as we escorted him home. There were people standing alongside the interstate, at on-ramps, and at the overpass that T-Hooligan mentioned with their flags. There were motorists who stopped their cars; some got out and saluted the entire escort. It was so heartwarming to see this outpouring of respect for this young man! May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in knowing that he is truly one of our great nation's heroes!

Due to reduced staff because of holiday, I will not be able to attend.  But Wanda and I do offer our gratitude and mournful respect to the family of Pfc Beyer and their fallen hero.  Others from Bismarck have said they were going to be there.  Raise a flag high for me.  God bless the family, God hold Paul in your arms and tell him how important he is in the fight for freedom.   Patriot riders, make us proud again.
