It was an honor to stand for 1st Lt. Roslyn Schulte today. It was obvious by what I saw and heard that she was certainly an extraordinary person, soldier, daughter and friend. She certainly touched many lifes and will not be forgotten. She will remain in my prayers and heart. Thank you for sharing her with this nation.

" If you are able, save for them a place inside of you, and save one backward glance when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with you always, and in that time when men decide, and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace these gentle Heroes we've left behind. "

Ride Report

First I would like to Thank the
Schulte for allowing us the Honor of being part of 1st LT Schulte's service.
It was a long day ,but how rewarding. Bikes starting showing up at 7:30 am. At the end we had 30 bikes in all.
I am so proud that you let me apart of this Great Org. It makes me Proud to be a American. To be able to Honor are service men and women.
This was the largest Attance's of Miltary Personell that I have ever seen.
And some of the havest rain I have riden in. And we stood tall in it.
There was even a bike wash at one it. It must have been 6 or so inchs on the road way.
Folks or Serevice men and women know about the Patriot Guard. I can not tell you hao many came up to us to say Thank you.

I hope all made it home OK

It was my honor to ride w/PGR yesterday @ 1st Lt. Schulte's funeral. Kudos to whoever planned the route from the temple to the cemetery - resulting in the family seeing nothing but signs of affection & support.

What an Honor! The dedication of the Patriot Guard Riders never ceases to amaze me. I feel honored to stand, not only holding the American flag for the current mission, but beside the many veterans who also wear the Patriot Guard patch. I say again, THANK YOU and WELCOME HOME.

Yes, the raiin was heavier than I've ever ridden in, or care to again. However, in an ironic moment, just as the flag was removed from the casket, and held, ready to be folded, the sun shone through the clouds and illuminated the flag. And having 1st LT Schulte's father come over to shake my hand and thank me, well, that was simply priceless.

And now, my brother will no longer be allowed to tease me about being a wimpish rider in the rain.
