So, why is it that two soldier's names are listed, but people are responding to only one of the names? Why is there almost no mention of Cpl. Richard Bennett? I hope that there are as many people on standby for Bennett's funeral as there are for capt. Doring's.

Angcheer, if you take a look at Cpl. Bennett's page, there are 5 pages of replies, so yes, I think he's getting the same amount of respect and honor as Capt. Doring.

God Bless and thank you to the families of these and all fallen soldiers for their ultimate sacrifice!

Look at the top of the home page, right side, under missions, he is 14 from the top. Hope this helps.

We ride free because these soldiers sacrificed. Thank you!

Hi there Angel,

The two men's names are listed in the same announcement, but the one whose name appears in bold type is the one for whom the respective thread is posted.  You'll find Cpl. Bennett's page and all of the associated replies listed separately the same way.  I'm sure he is being shown the same respect, honor, and gratitude as Capt. Doring and all of the other fallen heroes listed on this site.

Respecting the wishes of the family and it's representatives we will only have 25 bikes showing up for the memorial service. They would like to keep it small, Knowing that so many people are willing to ride on a moments notice is something I am sure they would appreciate, but we need to keep it small. Our priority is to honor the wishes of the family and that is what we will do. We truly appreciate everyone who is willing to give their time and your ability to do the right thing. But I ask that you hold back unless contacted we CANNOT let this get out of hand. I repeat this is NOT a normal mission and we would hate to ask people to go home if to many show up.

I don't know by what criteria you plan to draft members for this mission, but if it's by proximity you can count me in.  I'm right next door to Apple Valley and Inver Grove Heights in Lakeville.

Standing by until contacted.

I'm 1 city away from the services. The services are in Inver Grove and I'm in Rosemount. I'd be caging it there as I don't have a bike at present.

We will have the Doring family in our thoughts, while standing by. Given the odds, most of us are staying away that day, and all of us who do doubtless agree it's the only right thing to do. As we say over and over again, it's not about us.

a poem passed to me,so i pass it along..

Do not stand at my grave and weep
i am not there.i do not sleep.
i am a thousands winds that blow.
i am the diamond glints on the snow.
i am the sunlight on rippend grain.
i am the the gentle autumn rain.

when you awaken in the morning's hush,
