Cpl. Jason M. Bogar, thank you from a grateful nation for your sacrifice you are a True American HERO and May God Bless all your family and friends in this time of sorrow.

SOLDIER
I was that which others did not want to be.
I went where others Feared to go, and did what others Failed to do.
I asked nothing from those who gave nothing, and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness… should I fail.
I have seen the Face of terror; Felt the stinging cold of Fear; and enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love.
I have cried, Pained, and Hoped… but most of all, I have lived times others would say were best Forgotten.
At least someday I will be able to say that I was proud of what I was… a Soldier.

Soldiers Creed
I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States
And live the Army Values.

Heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Cpl Jason Bogar. We will never forget his ultimate sacrifice on our behalf. Permit me to share the words of President Lincoln to convey the feelings of our solemnly greatful nation...

"I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom."

Jason Bogar May your hearts be comforted and his soul be at peace It is my prayer that God will watch over and provide strength to each of you during this period of grief. May God bless you and your family, friends and comrades! Thank you for your service to this great nation.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth."
