Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpt. Eric Daniel Terhune. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your loved one was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Eric.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Captain Eric Daniel Terhune.  I appreciate all of his contributions to our country and may there be a special place for him in heaven.  All gave some and some gave all.  He gave his 'all' so young.

Our heart felt condolences to the Terhune family and friends in the loss of Eric. Thank you for his service to this great country. Our prayers go out to God for you in this time of loss. Eric served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself. God tells us that “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I pray that God will now bless your lives and help you see how great a thing this is which your loved one has done. The FALLEN MILITARY MEMBER has shown this country his greatest love for country and friends

I suppose, in a way, this has become part of my soul. It is a symbol of my life. Whatever I have done that really matters, I've done wearing it. When the time comes, it will be in this that I journey forth. What greater honor could come to an American, and a soldier?

Captain Terhune

This is Cpl Honda.  I served with you on the 13th MEU.  We would always share whatever dip we could get our hands on and it was nice.  You were a very down to earth man and I found through getting to know you that there was a lot to respect about you.  You made life in the COC better when you were around and Cpl Fuller and I really appreciated this; especially during those long hours of nothing.  May you rest in peace and Semper Fidelis!  You will not be forgotten Sir!

We so deeply appreciate your sacrifice, Cpt Terhune. You stand a hero now at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now, Eric, and know that you will be forever remembered here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. God bless you. Julie Francis, Matt's Mom
