| AS of this writing , we still do not have permission on this mission. THe funeral director , told Kim(Mouse) that the family was requesting no contact with anyone, except through the funeral director himself. Mouse gave him information about the PGR and our request to ride in support, only with the family wishes, I have not heard back from him, and Mouse is stil getting information. Eagle |

| Folks , I apologize, but I cannot may this mission, for once work is hitting me hard. I regret this, but I will do the best to coordinate the efforts. Funeral is Tuesday, family has given permission through the Funeral Director. FD requests that we get a count of possible attendee;s. Parking is limited at this location, and he would like some type of count. Also requests that we get there early if possible for staging , ( He don't know us to well do he! LOL) I am asking for a RC to step forward for this I will keep you informed along the way. I have contacted Randy Verdun, to see if he can feel in as Road Captain, and is Krash is out there we could use your help. Again, sorry I can't make this one.. Eagle |

Got an email from Bird in Hammond and looks like he and I will be able to make it. I got to meet some of you during the PGR mission to Bossier City last December (Red/Black Valkyrie).
We will be traveling down Hwy 90 from Broussard to Morgan City. I will send out a mass email to the Louisiana VRCC (Valkyrie Riders Cruiser Club) if that is ok and see how many respond that they would like to join us.
God bless Brandon and his family!
Ride safe!

May God be with Brandon, his family and PGR's. Ride free, ride safe and ride with respect.
I will not be able to make this mission as work has directed me in the opposite direction that day.
(Note: be aware there may be another mission in W. Monroe soon. Per KNOE-TV this AM, Lee Dean, Marine casulty in Iraq.) |

Randy, I live close to Morgan City. Twin City funeral home is in a residential neighborhood on 4th street. I would suggest meeting at Morgan City Municipal Auditorium (on Hwy 182 about 1 mile from Twin City). Plenty of parking and a good place to organize. Parking at the funeral home will be on residential streets so it may scatter people if large contingent of mourners arrive (expected).
Cemetery is about three blocks from Twin City. Should be plenty of room to park.
If coming from Lafayette direction get off four lane at 2nd exit (Hwy 182), turn right, drive about one mile to Auditorium on left behind Wendy's.
If coming from New Orleans, exit at ML King Blvd., turn right at Hwy 182 go one block to Auditorium.
McDonalds, Burger King, Shoney's, Pop Eyes, Wendy's, Chinese, plate lunch all within 1/2 mile of the auditorium. If I can be of further help please let me know.

Hopefully this works. Copy and paste the following to address bar and the mapquest map and directiosn should appear:
http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&un=m&cl=EN&ct=NA&rsres=1&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=BATON+ROUGE&1s=la&1z=&2pn=&2a=&2c=morgan+city&2s=la&2z=&r=f
It seems that this is the shortest route. Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 1 minute Total Est. Distance: 65.78 miles
We need to leave Baton Rouge no later than 10:30 (traffic at lunch gets to be heavy), I'm going to suggest a staging area on the west side of the river to depart at 11:00. Hope that helps with preliminary planning. I will be taking this route on Saturday and will post staging area ASAP.
As mentioned above by Dpangle:

| MMCM - we can meet up at the Loyola exit in Kenner if you want. That is the last exit on I-10 before you hit I-310. Morgan City is maybe a 2 hour ride give or take from there. I'm flexible, but I was thinking of booking out of here about 11 AM or so, and that would get me there about 1 PM. I have to go to New Iberia, Monday so I'll have a better idea of the time factor... |

If anyone out of Lafayette wants to ride down on Tuesday, I will be going kickstand up at 11:00 am from the Wendys/Shell Station at the corner of Albertson's Pkwy and I-90 (corner of the parking lot of Albertson's in Broussard).
Meet me at the gas station or in the parking lot alpngside the station. I will arrive around 10:30 or so and get a coffee.
Leave out at 11:00 and travel I-90 to Morgan City. |
