As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.

I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Lt. DePrimo's family and friends. Jeff and I played in many bands together growing up. He also played Classical guitar in my wedding and I have many great memories of late nights jaming and performing with him. He was a talented musician and a born leader and will be missed in our community. Again thank you for all the outpouring of prayers for all of us missing Jeff.

Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of 1st Lt. Jeffrey F. Deprimo. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your loved one was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Jeffrey.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Heartfelt condolences to the Family and Friends of 1st Lt. Jeffrey F. Deprimo. May your pain be tempered in the knowledge that Jeff is a True American Hero and will never be forgotten. Thank you for your service, Sir. May you rest in peace!

Neither a medal, nor a nation's thanks, can compensate for such a loss or fully honor such devotion and self-sacrifice. At best, we can promise to never forget, and be determined to support all our military and to hold up our end of the bargain as long as we can.

A Soldier's Prayer
(author unknown)

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

You are truly appreciated, 1st Lt Deprimo. You stand now a hero at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now Jeffrey, and know that you will never be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. "Thank you, Lt. Deprimo." Your willingness to put yourself in harm's way to assure that my family is safe astounds me. Please know that your loss is felt by all of America, today. On this Memorial Day weekend, I am reminded of the incredible courage and sacrifice of you, and so many others like you. I can only hope that I lead my life in a way that is worthy of your sacrifice. Rest in peace now, "L.T.", your mission is complete. Now it's time for US to do ours.
To the Deprimo family: "I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic he died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom."
Standing by in Harrisburg.

I will stand with the Patriot Guard, until the Patriot Guard stand for me. (USMC-2111)
