We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heros never dies.

Thank you for your service to our country David Bushong! I was asked to be your mission's ride captain, and I humbly accepted the honor. I would not have been able to carry out the mission without the help of my IPGR brother Jim Duncan, and my son Billy who ensured flags flew at the gravesite. Thank you both, you have honored this soldier! I never knew you, but I got to know your family, and I must say you have something special. Your son Jack led your body to it's final resting place in West Point, Indiana, freeing your soul from your earthly resposibilities. You can rest assured that he has strong shoulders to carry on your tradition. Being a Indiana Patriot Guard Brother, he already knew the place of honor folks like you earned, and he humbly stands tall to ensure it. He stood tall for you, honoring you and doing you proud! Stand down soldier! Your mission is complete! Bill "WildBillPurdue" Gooden Ride Captain
