Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sgt Joseph A Ford. May God help you though this difficult time and sorrow. Know your son was and is a Hero to us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. He will never be forgotten.

Rest Safely and Securely in God's Loving Arms, Joseph.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Mr. Wilbur,

My name is SSG Troy Wright and I just wanted to send you a short letter of thanks. I am a member of Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron 152 Cavalry Regiment, 76th Brigade Combat Team. I was part of the deployment that left Indy in January from the RCA Dome. I saw many members of the Patriot Guard there for crowd control and support. It was amazing the number of people willing to give their time for our support.

As a result of your support a friend of mine, SFC Chris Kincaid and I got on line and became members. I have been in the Military for over 21 years and am currently on my third deployment. There are approximately

12 riders in our small unit 44 man unit. I know that next year we are trying to schedule some rides together and we will make it a point to come to something that the Patriot Guard is supporting.

A friend of mine just lost his life here a few days ago. His name is SPC. Joseph Ford and he was from my unit originally and from Indiana. He volunteered to go to one of our other units doing Convoy Security Operations. He was the gunner and the vehicle was turning around and it rolled over and killed him. I know that you all will be there for his family.

Once again I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks for what the Patriot Guard does and what it stands for. I am proud to be a member and will support the cause myself in any way possible. Thanks again.

THANKS

Sir,
My name is Chris Kincaid, I live in North Vernon, IN. I am currently deployed to Camp Taji, Iraq. I just joined as a Patriot Guard member today. With me saying that, I am in the Indiana Army National Guard, Specifically 76th Brigade. My unit is 1st Squadron 152nd Cavalry out of New Albany, IN.

If you do not mind, I would like to share a story with you! In may of 2007 I was contacted by Stout Field (Indianapolis) to be a Casualty Assistance Officer (CAO) for a young man (CPL Coy Blodgett) out of Clarksville, IN. Long story short, I had to fly to Ardmore Oklahoma, to meet up with Coy on his final flight home from Iraq. As I came around the corner to the airport, there were motorcycles and American flags as far as the eye could see. This was my first experience with the Patriot Guard. The professionalism, and honor was more than what I was able to handle. I had no idea there were people that still honor our fallen brothers and sisters, like they deserve to be honored! That was the first part, Then they all fired their bikes up and escorted the hearse and family to the funeral home. I have never seen that much honor and dedication to a cause, out side of being in this uniform.

I am not due to be home until December 2008. My question is simple, how do I get notified of rides to honor our fallen brothers and sisters? I DEFINITELY want to be part of something bigger than myself! I want to be one of those "soldiers" riding, taking my fallen friend to their final resting place in honor!

I have a fallen brother that was just sent home, maybe a day or so ago!
I hope that you all will honor home! Thank you once again!
