It is with heartfelt regret and sympathy that I extend my condolences to the family of U.S. Army Specialist Emily Ort. We owe this young soldier an eternal debt of graditude for her service to our beloved country. I deeply regret her passing...so early in her life's day. As a father of daughters, I can only imagine what her parents must be going through, and I'm sorry. I will pray for her son and loved ones. May God's Love and Mercy ever be present, and may Guardian Angels accompany you through all your days...until that final day of eternal reunion.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Emily, a TRUE AMERICAN HERO. Our freedoms have been protected by all these great people that put on the uniform and volunteer to stand up for us. Many years of shedding tears have gone by and unfortunately we will shed more. One thing for certain though, we will have today’s heroes to thank for allowing us to live in such a great nation. Our soldiers are the greatest bunch of people on this earth and as we move forward we owe a special thanks to them and their families. Without the family support it is hard to have such Great Americans.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.
