I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of SFC Lawrence D. Ezell for the grave loss suffered. May God hold you close and give you peace and serenity in these times of sorrow.

Thank you, SFC Lawrence D. Ezell for your service to this Nation. It is because of Patriots such as you that I, my family, and the rest of this great Nation are able to lead the lives we do. It is the soldier that gives us freedom, not the politicians. Only two people ever died for our freedoms. One was Jesus Christ and the other was the American Soldier. The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a Nation grieve with you in the loss of one of our Nation’s best. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of SFC Ezell, a TRUE AMERICAN HERO. Our freedoms have been protected by all these great people that put on the uniform and volunteer to stand up for us. Many years of shedding tears have gone by and unfortunately we will shed more. One thing for certain though, we will have today’s heroes to thank for allowing us to live in such a great nation. Too sad others can’t see the light. Our soldiers are the greatest bunch of people on this earth and as we move forward we owe a special thanks to them and their families. Without the family support it is hard to have such Great Americans.

SFC Lawrence D. "Dave" Ezell is to be buried in the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) on Monday, 12 May, 2008, following visitation at Murphy's Funeral Home on Sunday 11 May, 2008.
PGR has been invited to attend, and is grateful for the opportunity to Honor this Hero and his family. We will mount an Honor Flag Line during private family and public visitations, and will escort the Hero from the funeral home to ANC and stand in Honor at graveside.

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.
Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.
Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

Lawrence served to give us the freedom we now enjoy so much and for that he is one of the GREAT AMERICAN HEROS of the land. God bless your family and friends. Wish I could have shaken his hand and told him thank you myself. God tells us that “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) As Christ our Lord laid down His life for us that believe in Him for salvation, so your love one has laid down his life for us for our freedom. This act has made him a Super Hero in my heart and I thank-you deeply for this sacrifice made for our freedoms. I pray that God will now bless your lives and help you see how great a thing this is which your loved one has done.
