Thank you, Cpt. Andrew. R. Pearson for your service to this Nation. It is because of Patriots such as you that I, my family, and the rest of this great Nation are able to lead the lives we do. It is the soldier that gives us freedom, not the politicians. Only two people ever died for our freedoms. One was Jesus Christ and the other was the American Soldier. The least I can do is pay homage and respect to this Hero and his family.
To the family of this American Hero: We as a Nation grieve with you in the loss of one of our Nation’s best. His adherence to “Duty to God and Country” will not be forgotten. Death is a time to rejoice in the life someone had and the lives they touched on this earth. Life is but a blink of an eye. May the Great Architect take this Hero and his family into his council, protect and heal them.

You don't have to love war, but you do have to love the Warrior!
The sound of 200 people holding flags -- is deafening.

Cpt Pearson, you are so truly appreciated. You stand now a hero at heaven's gates, along with all our fallen warriors who have gone before you. Rest easy now Andrew, and know you will never be forgotten here.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice in defending and protecting our freedoms. As a nation we mourn your loss, and we will remember you always as a true American hero. To the family, I offer my prayers and support. I understand a little of what you are going through-my son, a Marine LCpl, was killed in Iraq. I pray wonderful memories of your dear warrior help eventually to ease the pain you endure today. Your hero will never be forgotten-he leaves a legacy of honor and courage that few will ever achieve. Our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Cpt. Andrew R. Pearson,Thanks for being one of our heroes. God Bless. And God Bless, The fellow soldiers that stands for us everyday.Thank you for your dedicated service and sacrifice to defend this great nation of ours.

We salute you , My Friend

Final Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now,soldier.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime.
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord.
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now,soldier
you’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets;
you’ve done your time in Hell."

As I get ready to write to you, the words fall away as almost meaningless because of the pain I know you feel. I know, because I have felt that pain.

Know that you are NOT alone on this difficult path. Others are there to help you: reach out and embrace them, for they are offering not only themselves, but sharing with you that little bit of the Almighty that resides in all of us. This offering/sharing is what WILL give you the strength you will need to get thru. Trust me.

Any service related death, whether accident or illness, wounds received or KIA, warrant the Gold Star for the family. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I offer you my services, such as they are. If you want to talk, feel free to get in touch with me thru the PGR messaging. I WILL return your call/message. ANYTIME!

In the meantime know that my wife's and my prayers are with you.
